Green Tea Vs Litpons, and Candy Crowley's Dissonance (Part 2)
Edited on Wed Nov-17-04 11:58 AM by demwing
Green Tea vs Liptons? What am I talking about?

For those who haven't heard this latest stupidity from Candy C., here's a DU link:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=1360072&mesg_id=1360072

But there's another way to look at the Kerry green tea order, and its simple.

Kerry asks for Green Tea, the Waitress says we have Liptons, and Kerry gets his Green Tea.

WHAT?

Wait, Lipton's is that BLACK stuff that NORMAL people drink, right. Not that elitist GREEN crap. Real Americans drink Lipton's damn it!

Uhmhmm. Go to the Lipton home page at http://www.litptont.com

Here's what you see on the very first page:

And, if you choose the first link on the first page, you'll see Lipton's PRODUCT page, listing the Tea company premiere products.

Here's what you see on that page:

I think that Candy doesn't understand America, doesn't know what the fuck she's talking about, and out to go back to Fast Food service where she belongs.

2. When ordering a tea in a restaurant
Kerry probably knows that they do not bring the water to the proper temperature to brew a good cup of black tea (which is certainly NOT Lipton's), therefore he orders a green tea that can be brewed well at a lower temperature.

I don't believe liking lousy tea brewed at the wrong temperature in bags qualifies one necessarily to be a proper American, it sure doesn't qualify one to be a proper American tea lover.
