'Lose' sounds like jews, news, bruise. 'Loose' sounds like juice, noose, Bruce.
If you don't kick this thing mercilessly, I - shamelessly - will.

7. Actually, the comma would come . . . |
|
Between the "Thanks" and the "Grammar Nazi."
Just out of curiosity, what IS this thread about?

4. kick it loose or lose it??????????? That is the question? |
|
Whether 'tis nobler to ignore the misuse and abuse of sacred Engrish or to simply sleep, aye, to dream of a time when there were yet to be standard spellings...
Please, Let the gang misplay with letters. It is much better than having them play with IED's, where mistakes can really hurt people.

English and its many bastard children are conquering the world's languages. Engrish is almost standard pronunciation.
Amazing thing about a language backed by money...it changes everything.
Scuse me? DId you say pigeon or pidgin?

6. this used to make me want to scream |
|
But someone then told me it's a purposeful mis-spelling. Like the ever popular "morans".
I still don't like it, by the way.

I know it's un-PC (or something) to have a problem with online grammar/word usage, but it's annoying.

12. It may be un_PC, but... |
|
... if you'd had your knuckesl rapped with a ruler as often as I did in grammar school, you'd wince too whenever you see someone misuse either one.
