I thought it was a racey spot placed at a time that a lot of people would be watching and not expecting such a thing. I would have been just as outraged regardless of the racial mixture and no, you never see me on here coming down on NYPD Blue because a)it's expected and b)it's tastefully done. It's not the skin, it's that I don't like the networks Pearl Harbouring the public.

so I can't say if I would be outraged or not. But if it was sexually suggestive then I think it was probably not necessary to show at that time. I have no problem with the black white mix since I spent two years in a relationship with an African American man. But I do have a problem with overt sex and violence when kids are watching.

It used to be that the dancing brassiere in the platex ads would make teens cringe with embarrassment. And then, when 'FEMININE HYGIENE PRODUCTS' (such a term!) started doing TV advertising, the world was supposed to end.
We're such lucky lazy people nowadays...we don't even have to haul our asses out of the lounge chair to change the channel...push the button, and POOF!! The offensive images are magically gone! I find this very helpful when I see a Falwell clone on TV.
I suppose if we really want everyone to just GET OVER all of this sexual salaciousness shit, we should pass a law requiring everyone to go nekkid...that'll either put people off the deed totally, or give everyone sufficient lookie-lookies so they ultimately just get it out of their system.....!!!
Just say no...to mindless TV!

Some of those outraged parents allow their children to view all kinds of risque entertainment. They allow them to view vulgar videos on tv and even give money to purchase them. That stunt was far less harmful than what some of those teenagers see at the movies and on the television screen. No, the upset here is because the stunt involved an interracial couple. It's a matter of race just as was in the case of Janet Jackson. Janet was vilified whereas Timberlake was not.

That incident brought OJ and Nicole flooding back to the subconscious minds of a lot of people, and we all know how much of THAT angst was race-driven.
I mean, it's even joked about in "Blazing Saddles" (a movie I LOVE, BTW):
"Where are all the white women at?"
Honestly, to think race didn't have anything to do with it is just naive.
