Kerry says all the votes have not been counted on the video |
|
posted here on DU site for viewing. Now just why does he mention this when asked the question, does he plan on running again in 2008? Is it for hope to supporters and voters for him or is it a ploy to insinuate that he he is involved in recount even if he isn't?

The way he has conducted himself since the minute after he conceded... the ole boy has LOST his ground force -- the liberals who actually lace up their shoes and hit the pavement on his behalf.
Don't flog me. Look at my username. I was total kerry, until he UNreported for duty.
I REFUSE to pretend that he is doing things behind the scenes. That's as absurd as when we think "Oh, now the media is going to get serious and ask hard questions." Jokes on us every damn time.
I hope his lovely wife reads these threads, but it appears someone must have locked that most wonderful woman in a basement or something!

6. It's not that I refuse to pretend |

but I also refuse to indict him before some things shake out.
IF (big "if" I know) the Green/Libertarian recount shows something really startling, something that will possibly re-shape the election, Kerry will need every dime he has to defend himself in the states that he won by a narrow margin. It ISN'T just Ohio (or Florida, or New Mexico) - it's a national battle at that point. And a battle that will make Florida 2000 look like a picnic.
Or, at the very least, if it appears close and/or that there has been massive disenfranchisement, Kerry will need money to bring that out.
IF it appears, after all that, that Kerry has, indeed lost, then, and only then, will I start to judge his actions, or his future, or where he should go from there.
Jesus H. Christ - we've been involved in this freakin' election (or at least I have) for almost 2 years. If you thought, two weeks ago, that this guy should be your President, seems you outta give him a few more weeks to let events unfold.

There are plenty of things that need our attention and concern more now than figuring out whether Kerry has caved for reasons we can't approve. For our purposes now, it doesn't matter yet. In the long term, if he DID concede, drop out, and save his money solely to increase his perceived chances at at trying again in 2008, he would find a lot less support than he would wish. After all his tough talk about fighting for rights and counting every vote, who would trust him again? But we can't know yet whether that is actually his reason for acting as he did. There are still other possibilities that may or may not be on target.
But it's too soon to do more than speculate on this. In the meantime, we need to support the efforts at fraud exposure and recounts on every front we can.

4. I hope that it's true... |

BUT...why did Kerry have $15 million left in the bank at the end of the campaign? What exactly was he saving it for, his inauguration or something?x(
Thoughts like using it to fend off the Swift Boat Liars in August, for some reason, drift into mind...:eyes:

12. I don't know and you don't either |

We play a lot of "what ifs" and "why don't they?" when, in truth, we DON'T know. That's all I'm saying. We may THINK we know all the whys and wherefores, but the fact is - we don't. There will be tons of time to castigate Kerry and his campaign. What the heck is wrong with holding off with the blaming until we know what's up?
Heck, I'll be the first in line to scream if there's reason, but right now I think it's waaaaay premature and I prefer to give the candidate who I worked my heart out for, the benefit of the doubt.

handled the present. I don't know what his problem is, or why Teresa isn't kicking his ass to get him to do something.
