Santorum told kids ineligible for school
http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/04323/413675.stm

U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum said last night that he and his wife, Karen, are withdrawing their five school-age children from the Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School.

Santorum has come under criticism from officials in Penn Hills, where he owns a house, who say the school district should not have to foot the $38,000 annual bill to educate his children.

The Santorums do not live in the district full-time and spends most of their time in Leesburg, Va., outside Washington, D.C.

"The school district has just informed us that after reviewing our situation, only children who live in a community on a full-time basis are eligible to be educated in a public cyber charter school program," Santorum said.

3. I don't understand completely..
He owns a home there, so I assume he pays property taxes. Is it because the kids aren't even in town most of the year and would only attend part time?

Homeschooling five kids sounds great, in theory. I'd love to see how long that lasts, though. However, I'm sure they'll be paying other people to come into their home and teach their children.

8. He owns home in PA but someone else is living in it
PA rules are you have to be living and sleeping in the home to have kids eligible to attend school (or have district pay for charter school whether it's cyber or actual brick n' mortar charter school).

VA doesn't pay for cyber schools. Yeah I bet he didn't know.

4. Santorum has been a lying f*cking bastard all along ...
... we've known he doesn't live in PA for a long time, but no one will do a damned thing about it.

I'm sick of a fascist faker being our senator.

He needs to be retired in 2006 so he can have sex with all the canines he wants.

6. Hmmm. Cyber-Charter?
What's a neo-luddite Creationist dipshit fuckstick like Santorum doing with his family anywhere near a cyber-anything? He should be schooling those kids in proper fundy fashion, in a one room log cabin schoolhouse, taught by a nun. Anyway, at the cyber charter school, sooner or later one of those kids is going to google the word "Santorum"... at which point the real fun will begin.
