John and Elizabeth Edwards on Today show...
Did it bring a tear to anyone else's eye???
Put me right back into depression.

Never have I ever seen the compassion John has for his wife in the Chimp and in the Dixie rejected debutante.
WAKE UP AMERICA!!! These ARE REAL PEOPLE THAT REALLY DO CARE ABOUT MORE THEN THEIR POCKETBOOK!!! ... so frustrating...

/kickin dirt.

1. It was a very nice interview
Elizabeth is a strong woman and I'm sure she will beat this, and John is right there beside her. They are a wonderful couple.

2. I just think that they are the greatest!
I watched Elizabeth yesterday and both of them today. Katie said something about an interview with them on Dateline Sunday night.

Did you catch the part where he said that both of them want to work for the people they met during the campaign? The Edwards' are not giving up on us!

4. I can honestly say
I HAVE NEVER EVER DOUBTED HIM. Infact, I have questioned Kerry multiple times. Yet never Edwards. I think this would be a whole new ball game for him if Elizabeth wasn't sick. Yet I completely understand where he is at the moment, and he is where he should be.

3. i wish America got to see more of them during the campaign
they focused so much on the Cheneys but almost nothing on Edwards couple. but they were both out working hard the whole time.

5. We went to his rally in Johnstown, PA in September.
I can tell you--the man was just electrifying! It was the third stop in PA that day (this was 8 pm), and he still had IT!

I think the reason why is that he and Elizabeth genuinely care about us, the little people. And that definitely comes through when they are speaking.

Compare that to the Cheneys. Ugh. They make me want to run and hide.

7. And yet, amazingly, I think Elizabeth is the best speaker among
the two candidates and their spouses. I saw her in a small-venue setting in my town, and she was absolutely fabulous -- it was a question-and-answer format, and she was just such a sharp, articulate extemporaneous speaker. WOW WOW WOW!

Perhaps I was even more impressed with her than with her husband because she and Teresa were able to say things during the campaign that their husbands couldn't because of political expediency. So she was freer to lay it all right on the line about the Bushies and how they've failed America (AND she was very good at explaining in a brief but thorough manner, the Kerry/Edwards plans for such things as health care).

8. I saw her in a small group too & she is really soothing and smart and
...liberal...and I mean REALLY liberal.

It's a great combination.

9. The first time I saw Edwards before Iowa
Caucuses, I went to listen to all the candidates speak. I was wearing a Gephardt sticker. When I heard Edwards speak... that was it for me. Off went the Gephardt sticker and on with Edwards. I was completely devoted to his campaign. I was just as depressed when Kerry got the nomination as I was the day after elections. But that fire came back when he picked Edwards as a running mate. So I am keeping my faith in this election. I hope for a miracle just like that. I am not giving up hope that we won. I just won't.

Even if... I will stand behind Edwards again in 08.
Hands down.

10. They are a magical couple. Such love, such smarts, such beauty
inside and out.

They will lead us out of the wilderness in '08.

11. The Truth of the matter is
I believe that John and Elizabeth Edwards care more about us then Kerry ever did. That's just how much I feel let down by Kerry's swift concession to the evil chimp. And don't tell me I was never a Kerry supporter because of the way I feel now. I convinced several people to vote for him, including one who wasn't even going to bother to vote at all.
