Here we go again....LET'S FREE IRAN!!
So now 'Colon' Powell is beating the drum on Iran...

http://www.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/meast/11/18/powell.iran.ap/index.html

SANTIAGO, Chile (AP) -- The United States has intelligence indicating Iran is trying to fit missiles to carry nuclear weapons, U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell said.

Powell partially confirmed claims by an Iranian opposition group that Tehran is deceiving the United Nations and is attempting to secretly continue activities meant to give it atomic arms by next year.

"I have seen intelligence which would corroborate what this dissident group is saying," Powell told reporters Wednesday as he traveled to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Santiago, Chile. "And it should be of concern to all parties."

Pressed by reporters on the intelligence reports, Powell said the intelligence indicates that Iran "had been actively working on delivery systems" capable of carrying a nuclear weapon.

Sad thing is, even if it is true, NOBODY is going to believe him.

6. I don't care anymore.
Let them have their war, let them start their draft. Here's hoping the Repuke party chokes on as many nations they try and take on. My friend Andrew died in Iraq for their lies, what's more blood on their hands ?

11. I understand your feelings
It is hard to care anymore. When a nation votes for an administration that has already led them into a senseless war, and has indicated that they will do it again, then it is hard to feel sorrow for the coming atrocities.

I do feel badly for the millions of families that tried their best to get Bush out of office only to see him return and, more than likely, draft their children to continue his madness.

For those that voted for Bush, it is hard to feel pity. But, that damned soft-hearted, liberal streak eventually wins and I end up giving a damn about everyone.

13. Iran just made a deal with Britain, France, and Germany the other day
Powell is the Sec of State for cryin' out loud, certainly he read about this. So what now? We just go ahead with the agenda while ignoring the steps that Europe has taken to make sure Iran doesn't continue their nuke program? Are we begging for a world war?? End of times kinda thing?

Christ. Why do I even bother asking what the neocons want. The PNAC website is straight foward enough. *sigh*

17. The new talk will give reason for invasion/attack...
now that the EU has gotten an agreement from them they have to find 'another' reason(s) to invade/attack....shutting down the production will only require new reasoning to be created....hence today's article and more as you will see, shortly...

Fuck them, fuck their wars. there should GWB Memorial Draft for all folks who voted for him...

14. We can't do shit about Iran now...
...Unless Bush is planning on starting a war with China.

While he was out campaigning, the rest of the world was out realigning itself with lots of new alliances. George rekindled the Cold War, and we're the odd man out.

15. Meanwhile, in North Korea
Edited on Thu Nov-18-04 11:34 AM by charlie
There are reports that Kim Jong Il has disappeared, supposedly sequestered in grief over the death of his favorite concubine, and public pictures of Dear Leader have been taken down in Pyongyang. There might be a change in leadership or a coup in the offing.

So Commander in Chief Dumbass might be getting the opportunity to ratchet up fears over Korea's unstability and nukes again soon.

18. Prepare for the RW buyer's remorse!
This will do it for a couple of the Repubs I know.

Damn, and I get to collect on the bet I never, EVER wanted to collect on, which was that we invade Iran or Syria before Bush is through, and we get the draft back.

But then they beat the drums for both earlier and nothing came of it. Here's to hoping they're not this freakin' stupid.
