I kept thinking if that were ME in all that rain, I'd be a freakin' mess - frizzy hair, dripping makeup, and wow, Tipper looks great! She also looks very nice in that burgundy / merlot color she's wearing.
I will not comment on Al because I love him too much.
All these poor folks out there in that rain!
The piano /organ / synth player and some of the singers were ABSOLUTELY SOAKED.
Dang - now all the first ladies are coming out together. Everyone doing okay, 'cept Babs - she looks hateful as usual...

|
gotta appreciate the ridiculous humor in some of this stuff
W kept getting smacked by the umbrella edges of both Chelsea's and his own umbrella (held by Laura) so he grabbed it away (typical) from Laura and is now holding it himself.
Babs gave a nasty look to Carter on her right when her umbrella got bumped by his.
A little comic relief in all the forced diplomacy going on on that stage.

Hillary - "I am so proud of Bill."
Chelsea - not saying anything (thinking about her wedding)
George - "So glad it's raining, heh heh."
Laura - "George, they're not waving at you."
Jimmy - "I don't think my opening was like this."
Rosalyn - "It was still great, Jimmy."
George Sr. - "I don't want to be here!"
Barbara - "Neither do I! I hate these damn democrats!"

|
Edited on Thu Nov-18-04 01:06 PM by VolcanoJen
When Kerry first emerged wearing the trenchcoat, Tweety and Pat Buchanan literally hooted in hysterical laughter.
"Where's the yellow barn coat?" laughed Tweety. "Guess it's not so lucky after all!!"
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAfuckingHA.
And we wonder why we lost, when the media remains obsessed with outerwear instead of issues.

39. I fired off a hot email to MSNBC about Tweety's inane |
|
coverage of the dedication. He keeps harping on the impeachment and scandals. Told them the only reason I tuned in was to watch the ceremony. No more. I'll watch Olbermann but not the rest of their hate spewing drivel. Told them people who tuned in to watch were fans of The Big Dog and wanted to focus on all the wonderful things accomplished during his tenure and not re-hash all of the old GOP partisan venom. That there are millions and millions of people who look fondly on the Clinton days of peace, world respect, and booming economy. Then suggested that Matthews needs a new challenge - like in down town Fallujah, alone, at night, unarmed. Too much to hope for that they would actually take my suggest to heart.
Can Tweety get any more petty?

Interesting philosophy: Conservatism draws lines that should not be crossed progressives break down barriers that were unneeded At the time Clinton was pres, both needed to happen. (New Democrat: 3rd way). Putting people first -- keep score by a simple measure. Were ordinary people better off when I stopped than when I started. Politics about giving people better stories. Politics about individual people.
Damn, he's getting WET.
Calling for Shrub to bring peace to the middle east. :eyes:

"And while we have to fight our enemies we can't possibly occupy all of them." THANK YOU, ARE YOU LISTENING SHRUB?
"Am I the only person who likes both of ?" YES (edit: that's me, not Clinton)
What are our shared values? - everybody counts - everybody deserves a chance - our differences do matter but our common humanity matters more.

This embrace of injustice and murder shows the scam:
Dems and Repubs are a Good Cop/Bad Cop fascist cabal.

was a good line. Yes, he can speak well.
But sunny speeches are the anaesthetic against the pain of outrage THAT ACTUALLY BRINGS ACTION FOR JUSTICE.
That's how the American public has been controlled. Not at the point of gun, but by keeping awareness below the THRESHOLD OF CHANGE.
