I watched "A Perfect Candidate" the doc with Ollie North and Chuck Robb...

It was damn good. I highly recommend it. Even though it was 90 percent from the view of Ollie's campaign, I still thought it was fantastic. I don't mind Republicans or Conservatives at all. I just don't agree with them and when it comes to all the hate filled aspects of politics they seem to cultivate it rather than look for solutions. Class warfare, racism, bigotry etc.

North isn't a bad man, just an ideologue and also a guy who screwed up seriously bad. Ok, he's a total fuck up, haha. I did enjoy this movie though. Very entertaining.

Oh, and please tell me that Chuck Robb isn't as big of a doofus and dumbass as he came across as in this film. He was such an oddball, it was hilarious.

God, I loved the ending where Ollie lost. We need a victory like that.

The look of pure despair on the faces of Ollie's advisors at the end is priceless.

was my first election at 18...too bad Robb was such an idiot (ineffective, highly publicized affair with a beauty queen, and generally flawed) that he just handed the senate seat over to the hellspawn Geroge Allen (look for him to get the GOP nomination in 08)
