2. Talking about how not one person died in Israel/Palestine for one
whole year as the negotiating went on...

Just told Bush he hopes he "crosses into the Promised Land" of peace in the ME...

Yeah, after the POS just called for more of a "hardline"---

18. That was the absolute highlight of his speech
and the best sound-bytable comment by anyone in politics who has stepped in front of a microphone in a long, long time. It was beautiful, it rang true, and it was a very well-deserved jab at Bush's abysmal non-approach to the I/P conflict.

This is the one - the only - conflict in the world that, if moved towards real resolution, could eliminate more terrorism than any armed forces unit, multi-million dollar weapon, or summit of muckity-mucks could even dream of erradicating.

Clinton reminded me that there are really leaders out there with vision and hope for this world.

10. Yes, he's a great speaker but a false beacon for the
Democratic Party.

12. In the absence of strong coordinated voices on behalf of the party,
I'll happily listen to President Clinton any time. He speaks without fear and with clarity. We need to shine any kind of light on the shadows in this world now, and today we saw a beam focused on those shadows which many politicians pretend aren't there. Light is not the absence of darkness, but has properties all its own. There is no such thing as false light.

14. I was alluding to "false beacon" put out by ship wreckers
during earlier seafaring days in order to lure ships into ship wrecks.
In that sense the light was false. However, physically speaking, there is no such thing as false light.

I defended and admired Clinton all through his tribulations as I felt
that overall, he was doing a good job. As time passed, however, and
I thought about his selfish carelessness with regard to his trivial
sexual pursuits and realized how much he was willing to risk for the sake for a bit of amusement. Also, I have felt that he was "dragging his feet" with regard to supporting the Democratic ticket for 2004.
I bought into the theory that he wanter Bush to elected so that Ms. Clinton would have a shot in 2008.

But, there is little doubt of his political skills. He is the most
effective speaker in the Country.

16. Except he has lost interest in us. "Stop whining and get behind Shurb.
Shurbs election not necessarily a bad thing? Go along to get along. Kiss the Bush's butt Bill. I am sure they love you for it! We need a leader, not a self absorbed narcissist. Sigh. I had such hopes for Clinton and he is such a dynamic speaker, but he has abandoned us.

9. "We can't kill, jail or occupy" all our enemies
Now talking about America being divided. He's talking about shared values. You tell it, Bill! Our common humanity matters more (than our differences).

11. Really......
Great post --

I, unfortunately was watching MSNBC which I hardly ever do and yes, stupid Chris Matthews was on with a panel.

Below is what I wrote to Ron Reagan and MSNBC Viewer services:
(I hope some people will do the same and no, I do not watch MSNBC regularly, with the exception of Keith Olbermann).

Thank you, thank you for being one of the only sane people on the panel today while commenting on the presidential library opening in Arkansas today.

While Chris Matthews seems to be under the presumed "false" impression everyone around him is absorbed by the sex life of former President Clinton, and couldn't stop yammering about it, you interjected some reasonable and calm statements, along with Mr. Gergen.

I tried to watch for about 20 minutes while Chris kept launching his "sex diatribe" -- but I found I could no longer stand it and turned the channel.

Where is it that MSNBC (owned by GE and 7th largest recipient of government contracts) fell off the wagon?

Evidently these wonderful people have forgotten the Christian values that they so wonderfully contribute to their Republican counterparts. You know the "judge not, lest ye be judged" and "let him who is without sin ,cast the first stone". Measure everyone with the same measure, people!

Enough already with the sex, people can't even enjoy a library opening without hearing this. Children may even be watching as an educational matter and wonder - what in the world is going on.

I hope you will pass this along to your supervisors and administration and I will be contacting viewer services along with a few of my friends, family and countrymen.

13. After Clinton's current remarks following the election, I turn him off
along with Bush. Too bad. I idolized this man but no longer. He is a great speaker, but I no longer want to hear what he says. He is yesterday's news. And far more interested in himself than the American people. I now understand why Carter has never liked him.

15. Well, it *is* his library opening
So, it really is his day. How could you expect anything else? Presidential libraries are about yesterday's news. Btw, he's also running his foundation out of the complex. So, tomorrow's news is also happening there.

17. When he dissed us, on the most painful week of our lives, I dissed him.
I was going to try to go to the opening of this library with a friend , but after his remarks regarding the election, and not once but twice, I bailed. I can use my airline miles other ways. He can be dismissive of us , and I can diss him. He doesn't "have our back".
