Am I the only one that likes Bush and Kerry?
So said our last elected President today at the opening of his library. Well, Bill, since you asked, if you're not the ONLY one, you should be.

The simple fact is, no one should like Bush. He is responsible for the deaths of thousands and thousands of innocent people and the rape of our treasury because of his lies and greed. Good old boy, aw shucks crap like this is insulting, and that's coming from a Big Dog fan.

1. Clinton is a buffoon. Fuck his ass.
If his wife runs in '08, no way she gets my vote.

3. That's because he's a uniter and not a divider.
And he was having a good day at the opening of his library.
Not the biggest deal I can think of.

4. I've heard the same thing....
When he said it on Larry King live, he said that he liked them, just disagreed on what they fought for. Is that so bad?

5. Yes--
apparently he should be seething with hatred every public moment.

In addition to tripping Georgie and pulling Laura Bush's hair.

7. When someone stands for killing thousands in Iraq in
a massive bombing campaign that is a reason to dislike him.

6. Take it context....remember what Clinton said about * at the convention?
When he says he likes him, everybody knows that Clinton has major disagreements and probably has no respect for him. Clinton dropped alot of bombs on Bush at the convention.

Remember, Bush had nice things to say about Clinton last year. I'm sure the right wingers were all in a tiff about that.

8. the one thing about clinton saying that HE likes bush and kerry is that ..
he leaves room for the rest of us to disagree with him. bush, on the other hand would never leave room for any of us to disagree with him as proven by all the arrested dissenters during the republican convention, the firing of liberal minds and opposing minds at the CIA, the punishing of Helen Thomas to the back rows of the White House press room ... and the list goes on.

9. yes
but the Big Dog is known for his decency and open mindedness, and the purpose of today was to celebrate his presidency and all he accomplished. He always seems to focus on the good and the positive and I like that even though sometimes I think grrrr. And really, how long has it been to see goodness, kindness and decency on the news? I appreciate that he is the type of man who can pull people together and sometimes even make them less mean spirited.

10. It upset me
Because you know thats why Bush attended to show how Bi-Partisan he can be. I know President Clinton always tries to be decent to people but egads this turned my stomach something fierce. I am gonna have to listen to see if I detect the smooth southern Insult in this.

Bush is killing our country I can not believe Clinton can like someone who destroyed everything he worked so hard to do in his 8 years and did it on purpose. What was he thinking :(

11. I have to add that I was listening to this on AAR
Edited on Thu Nov-18-04 08:20 PM by senseandsensibility
on Franken's show, and shortly afterward, Al said to his audience (paraphrasing here), well, I DON'T like *! He got a huge roar of approval from the live audience, and then said that he wasn't just saying that for cheap applause. I'm with Al. * is directly responsible for the deaths of many innocent people. I can see liking Reagan (not really, but I get the concept), but not someone this evil. I am all for a certain amount of decorum appropriate for the event, but "liking" * is ridiculously superficial considering the harm the man has caused.

12. Bush and Clinton, two men who have sold thier
souls to the IMF and it's ilk in order to prosper through power. I believe that's the way it is with politicians and holders of high office.

13. He's always been a diplomat, but you don't get the joke do you?
Yes. He's the only man in America who likes both Kerry and Bush. Divided we shall co-exist, and if we ever get our man or woman in office, we had better be prepared to knock down the conservative charlatans that will surely come a calling.
