Bill Clinton Is Getting PISSED On ABC
Edited on Thu Nov-18-04 09:44 PM by Placebo
After being told how he ranked on some list of Presidents on economic & job handling/moral authority/etc...

Getting really really upset. Telling Peter Jennings, "You don't want to go there."

"When I was getting a standing ovation from the whole world at the UN, you people were showing the grand jury testimony."

"During my 8 years, after all those investigations, only 1 person was convicted for ever doing anything wrong. More than 29 were convicted during the Reagan and Bush years, most people don't know that."

"I never lied about anything concerning my JOB while in office. Yes, I made a mistake, and I've paid for that, and I'm sorry, and I'm sorry that the country had to go through that."

3. He slammed Jennings
Saying it was his network that kept repeating Ken Star lies. Hmmm they did the same thing leading up to this phony Iraq war. I guess they will never learn.

9. He didn't mind the lies in the lead up to the war
because, for some ungodly reason, he supported the war as did Hilary, as did Kerry.

6. I loved that lol!
He doesn't seem to be taking any crap, and it's about time some Dem stopped taking it lol! But, as a side note, does he look awful, or is it just my perception? I hope he's taking care of himself--I'd vote for him again in a heartbeat!

7. DAMN. HE JUST SMACKED DOWN PETER JENNINGS!!!
GO BILL! He told Peter Jennings that he "really didn't want to go there" regarding how he was viewed morally by historians after Peter said he was ranked 41st in morality--told him how HIS network went after him and innocent people for being Democrats ...so much more. WOW!

My eyes got bigger and bigger as he continued to smack down Peter. Unfucking believable ...:spank:

:loveya: Big Dog!

15. If that is an angry ex-president who was (you should have been . . .
listening) constantly under investigation. He would have every right to really let it all out. The Republicans started the day he stated publicly he was going to run for office. Just ask Newt!

If you do not believe there are people that will lie, cheat, steal to ruin your life, your families life, and the people around you lives, then you have not been out in the real world AND you are very lucky you have not met people like this.

I see a man sitting there talking about what his family went through. He was clinching his teeth when he was talking about the "MEDIA" and how they decided to showed the slime regarding what some would say rather than his standing ovation at the UN and that was AFTER his so-called Impeachment.

By the way, he was totally exonerated by the Supreme Court and Chief Justice William Rehnquist. Whitewater, travelgate, every thing that Ken Starr had him indicted for . . . completely exonerated BUT not until he was out of office. They stayed on him with more pressure.

Can you imagine the kind of president Clinton could have been if they had not constantly been trying to come up with stupid reasons to make him look bad.

He had an affair. Which was no one's business but his, his wife's, and God. No man should have been impeached for lying about an affair. What man wouldn't? Anyway, they should have never even asked him.

Everything was out in the open . . . unlike now.

Clinton would win in a landslide STILL.

I sit and watch that man talk and I kind of come too because I focus so much on what he is talking about, because he is speaking intelligently, he speaks of hope, he speaks of love for country and WORLD, he speaks of the past and surviving it, and he reminds me of a time when the WORLD looked up to the U.S. and respected our country and the people.

I hope when I visit the Library he will be doing the tours . . .can you imagine?

24. You are exactly right. I should have picked right up on that . . .
also, I am with you. I would pay to see Bill Clinton "cleanse" himself of his anger regarding what went on during his presidency.

If I may, I suggest reading, "Blinded by the Right." It is written by David Brock, who was a staunch Republican. The reviewer below really explains it better than I could.

(snip) "Brock distinguishes between the older generation of conservatives, who he feels had higher principles, and the often shallow and unprincipled neocons, his former friends. This book provides a well-written and revealing picture of the ethically challenged world of contemporary radical conservative leaders and intellectuals.

Here is part of the author's closing reflections on the presidential impeachment effort: ''The conservative movement, in its pathological quest to expose and unseat Clinton, had succeeded only in exposing itself and unseating its own unworthy leadership. As McCarthyism had set back the anti-Communist cause, the radical conservatives had betrayed whatever of value could be found in conservative philosophy." <http://www.thezephyr.com/blinded.htm>

20. Can you imagine...
If we tossed out all of the Presidents who have had affairs? People like Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, FDR, Dwight Eisenhower, JFK... I don't even know the whole list! Are the contributions these men made to our country all negated because of their infidelity?

The media's obsession with Bill Clinton's sex life is just beyond bizarre.

and they were talking about the guy who built the "anti-Clinton Library near Clinton's library was going to be on Hannity and Colmes. Sean Hannity needs help. He is the male Ann Coulter. I have only one word for all three of them . . . pathetic.

23. Clinton should make it his personal mission to take down REAGAN legacy
Edited on Fri Nov-19-04 08:32 AM by NewYorkerfromMass
Since he's got the fire in the belly, he should make it a goal to educate people about the substance of the lies and chicanery behind Reagan.
Education, education, education.

26. I don't know if anyone could do that since the Republicans have . . .
all but canonized Reagan.

I'm sure the man was a nice man; however, his presidency was almost as bad (as far as jobs and the economy) as baby Bush. Now baby Bush has outdone Reagan with this unjust war.

He needs to "BRING OUR TROOPS HOME NOW" before we have a generation of our children so traumatized by the absolute inhumanity that is going on over there, they won't be able to bring up their own children due to their inabilities to cope. With all the things I have seen and read on the Internet, plus on the news, if I were there, I would have done been locked up. My mind just could not process these kind of atrocities.

The people of Iraq never saw some of the things that are going on over there now. The terrorists do not care if they kill innocent Iraqi women or children in the process of trying to kill our soldiers. That alone should tell the Iraqi people what the U.S. is up against.

Of course, if someone came into our country to oust Bush, and in the process killed innocent Americans, destroyed our cities, and what little jobs there are were given to their companies, I don't know if Americans wouldn't be reacting the same as the Iraqi people.

It's all a confusing mess to me.

28. he'd hurt himself more than he hurt Reagan
He should spend his time taking down the bush family. They are the ones that were behind the watergate and Arkansas investigations to begin with.
Even the Reagans had the sense to dislike and distrust the Bush's.
