The Democratic Leadership is making an early move to consolidate ....
their power. Before anyone is permitted time to discuss any future moves of the Party, by liberals and others, the Al Fromm wing is going to get Harry Reid, from a Republican state, and Vilsack from Iowa into the major leadership positions before there are any challenges. But that transparent move is not going to silence the left wing that held their voices for the last couple of elections at the suggestion of this same "leadership". We know their game.

Our "leaders" are in the process of rolling over again to the Republicans in congress. I say no more!

Let's take them down!

7. the other Democratic Senators voted for Reid who had served as whip
Edited on Fri Nov-19-04 01:18 PM by JI7
it's common for whip to move on to leadership position once the person who had been serving as leader leaves for whatever reason.

none of the other democrats challenged reid.

and durbin supports vilsack as dnc chair also. is durbin from the al from wing ?

I don't believe there's an "h" in wimp, but otherwise that appears to be the case, unfortunately :(

11. I've lost a lot of respect for Durbin over his support of Vilsack
Durbin's four years away from re-election. He's in the Senate Class II.

I have a long memory and live in Illinois.

10. Reid is awesome. I think you guys are overreacting on this.
They could have chosen folks who are very bad.

12. The DLC are like psychopathic rats on a sinking ship
They'd rather stay on a sinking boat scrambling to the tallest part of the ship than try to keep the ship afloat.

13. The left, African Americans, others ...
what can be done? Neglected by the Dems, but the GOP is the enemy. How do we break out of the ghetto the DLC has so many of us inhabiting?
