Powell was the man who attempted to whitewash the My Lai massacre while attached to the Joint Chiefs. After promising , among others, General Westmoreland that he would move heaven and earth to get to the bottom of this he did exactly the reverse. If it had been left to him noone would have known.

Powell stood before the UN and cited actual numbers, ounces of Anthrax , tons of chemical weaponry etc.,etc. Bye and good riddance!
