Perpetual Struggle

Let me offer a bit of perspective. I've been thinking about my grandfather. He opposed the Spanish American War and voted for the socialist, Eugene V. Debbs. He was also an early leader for civil rights (well before the 'movement'.)

Nothing we're going through now would be unfamiliar to him (except perhaps the stakes--the planet has become very small and fragile since his time.)

He fought through it all. Uphill, downhill--he kept it at it into his 90's. His son, my dad (now in his 90's), carried it on. I'm not in their league, but I try to do my share and I'm not about to quit anytime soon.

The point is, we've got to keep fighting. We're fighting for our children and grandchildren's future. For one thing we need to show the next generations how to fight--and how to win.
