If new Sen Minority Leader Reid is "easy" on Bush, should we let Dem party
go the way of the Whigs.

Given media controlled by the right, vote counting controlled by the right, no chance in hell of vote fraud even making the talking point list of the current crop of Dems -

is there a reason to invest so much of our time and treasure we feel is needed to oppose the GOP in activities of the Democratic Party?

Is there a better way of investing that time and treasure to oppose the GOP?

Or is it just late at night, too much reading of Nader's web site, and I'll feel better after a good sleep?

time for sleep ......

till tomorrow, you all take care - I'll join the battle again latter..

:toast:

5. We need some new progressive alliance that's above partyship
I don't like the Greens because they are snobby but they could be part of it. However, it would allow the Progressives to back any candidate (independent, Democrat or whatever) who lives up to the basic principles that used to mean something to the Democratic Party.

3. Their resemblance to the Whigs is difficult to overlook.
Will Dr. Dean wind up having to do a Lincoln?

4. Everybody and anybody has been way too easy on Bush*
He has so much to answer for. Each night's tragic news just hits you right in the face. But if the best political minds in our country can't find a way to bring this disastrous administration down, I sure can't.;(
