What if Delay gets indicted by a FEDERAL grand jury?

The House Repubs have potentially protected Delay in the case of a state indictment. However, what if this whole Indian tribe business blows up and Delay is indicted by a federal grand jury? There is plenty of smoke there. He is very close to all of the people involved, including sneaky little Ralph Reed. Ney of Ohio slipped a provision into a conference report to benefit the tribe in Texas - but what if he did it on behalf of Delay to keep Delay's fingerprints off? Delay received money from the tribe - we could be talking about bribery here. That is a federal crime. Does anyone have the skinny on this case? Am I way off base or is Delay possibly at risk here?
