What about John Edwards for DNC head?
He doesn't have a job, and he'd be perfect for bringing the party together! By the way, does anyone know what he will be doing now?

2. What leadership has he shown?
Edwards wouldn't make a good candidate for the DNC. He is a one-term Senator and part of a losing Presidential big twice over. He doesn't strike me as the best strategist either. There's a reason he didn't run for his Senate seat and he was part of two losing campaigns. He's a smooth talker and that's about it. The DNC chair needs to be a mover and shaker. There's a great deal of behind the scenes work to do. Edwards just isn't that kind of politician.

7. Dissent in part. Concur in part. Edwards' populism is genuine.
And I think it's a real asset to the party. But I agree that any strategic skills remain are not yet well-developed.

9. That would be good for him. Maybe he could write a book about
foreign policy or something that would bode well for him in '08.
