Campaign web site question for those who know about such things.
I tried to get an answer to this in the Colorado forum, but I think most people are asleep. I should be asleep, but this question is keeping me awake.

I found the following URL while doing a search for Rollie Heath.
http://www.heathforgovernor.com /

the WhoIs.sc site gives the following info:

http://www.whois.sc/heathforgovernor.com

I think this may have to do with the 2006 governor's race in Colorado, but the domain for this site is in Louisiana. Does it matter?

Heath's last campaign web page was heathforgoverner.com (when he ran against Owens in 2002). Here is the archive info. on that page:

http://lcweb4.loc.gov/elect2002/catalog/1482.html

Here is the archived site:

http://wasearch.loc.gov/e22k/2002*sa_/http://www.heathforgovernor.com/

Yet, when you click on the large URL (at the above link), you get taken back to... http://www.heathforgovernor.com (under construction)!

What gives? Has this URL been reactived?

4. I can't! Do you know what this might be?
It might be the web site of the guy who will go up against Owens! I'm hoping it is!

5. Owens is term-limited.
He cannot run again in 2006. Heath ran against Owens in 2002. He lost. It was pretty bad from what I remember. I don't know what the margin really was. Though, Owens looked good during his first term as governor and had the power of incumbency. Furthermore, Owens's stature is significantly diminished now as compared to two years ago. So who knows?

the site.

I'm very curious. I'd love for Heath to run again.

Edit: But I had forgotten that Owens is term-limited.

7. So are you just mainly wanting to know
who is going to run for Governer next? I don't really understand these things, but it looked like two sites under construction and information about an old site from 2002.

The next Governers race isn't for another four years, right? I think you have plenty of time to worry about this, especially since in four years we're all going to be worrying about the presidential elections even more.

By the way, I want to apologize for voting Green in the last gubernatorial election. If I hadn't of done that, we might have been rid of Owens by now.

I still think you should go to sleep.

8. No, Crunchy, the next governor's race is in 2006!
A lot will be happening during the next couple of years.

Thanks for your concern about sleep. I have to get to work now.

9. For some reason I was under the impression
that governer's terms lasted for six years. That's what I get for being so apolitical until recently.:)
