Hundreds of thousands of children lost their health insurance
in the same bill that had the mickey mouse abortion restriction. It is due to CHPS not being funded for this year or subsequent ones. We have had several threads on the abortion restrictions yet not one on CHPS. We wonder why the other side is obsessed with abortion, maybe we need to look in a mirror.

1. How Ironic?
I mean, am I the only person who sees the irony or hypocrisy in this? They claim to care so much about children while ripping away their health insurance.

These people are simply :evilfrown:

They make me want to :puke:

2. It is beyond ironic
I just don't understand how people who are elected can get away with taking away insurance from the working poor.

3. I remember reading before the election
that the number of Americans without health insurance is more than the combined populations of Oklahoma, Connecticut, Iowa, Mississippi, Kansas, Arkansas, Utah, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, West Virginia, Nebraska, Idaho, Maine, New Hampshire, Hawaii, Rhode Island, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Alaska, Vermont, Wyoming, and Kentucky.

4. I've never had any H.I.
I just turned 60, never had any health insurance. I have the V.A.

Like I said ---

btw, if you aren't a veteran you may be unaware that the cost of our meds, such as we get, has tripled since GWB.

5. My Dad is a vet so I have a good idea
I am very thankful they are there for him. So far his care has been great but I know that isn't the case for all vets.

8. The Chips program isn't being funded at all?
Do you have a link for this? That is incredible and all the more so that it hasn't been covered at all!

7. Is this really true? Can we get some links and citations?
Not that I don't believe you but we need something authoritative and documentary to start spreading around. What is the number of the Bill? Has it passed BOTH houses? Any chance the CHPS funding could be added back in conference. Has it had FINAL passage? If this is so we need to be able to make a BIG DEAL out of when shithead* actually signs it into law and strips the funding.
