This evening I was going through the bills and votes from this Senate session and came across this little nugget of goodness.
An amendment (SA 3292) to S.2400, a defense and energy appropriations bill, failed 46-52, with not a single Republican voting in favor.
The objectionable amendment? "To amend title 18, United States Code, to prohibit profiteering and fraud relating to military action, relief, and reconstruction."
The complete text...

Did you find anything objectionable in there? I didn't either. Proof positive, as if more were needed, that Republican politicians are, by and large, bastards.
