Do you belive in "Selection 2004?" If so, is it "Last Chance" for America |
|
Edited on Tue Nov-23-04 07:36 PM by KoKo01
I came here about 6 months after "Selection 2000" and have been here ever since.
Reliving this past selection/election I start to wonder about myself and America. If we don't find the "link" with crap voting machines and procedures on THIS ONE...then some of us know...it's our "Last Chance" for America...and the "Great Experiment" of our founding fathers and all the "immigrants" who came and built this country and worked to make it better. And that includes our Women and Slaves who fought tirelessly through "Blood, Sweat & Tears" to gain our rights and further the vision of the "founding fathers" & the "founding Mothers and children" who came here seeking a "New Start" away from Kings and Emperors and Dictators" and "Religious Fanatics" who were destroying their lives.
If we can't get this exposed...then we will deal with the terrible consequences. Most Americans don't see it all as dark as myself and some others. Some of us, though, have a shorter time left here...(not 20 or 30 Somethings) and it's important to us that we leave a "Legacy" even if we don't have the time left to "FIX" America one more time in our lifetime.
We may feel sad...that we can't tell folks how bad it is...and that as much as we tried to halt Vietnam and the Draft, and the abuse of Women, Children and Minorities...that we see it all coming back again.
It's too much to bear...to have sacrificed in so many ways..to see this all back again...as if we did nothing. It's a very bitter experience.
This "Election/Selection" is all we have left...we MUST MAKE THE MOST OF IT...or, we are truly in a scenario that is so dark....well..I don't want to even think..although in contrariness...I think all the time about it..:-(

1. Unfortuneatley, the mainstream media is dumping water |

on this story as fast as they possibly can. Just look at this week's TIME, where they said that "those pinko nutcases have once again proved their idiocy by backing groups who say that Our Great Leader didn't really get elected, and even though they're probably right- Wait! We didn't just print that! I mean---- Aaagh! I'm sorry, Master Rove!" Okay, so they didn't really say that, but close enough.

3. We don't know what the hell is going on...but if we have to keep working |

we can do it. No matter what they throw at us...we have to be there "steering" us all through the Iceburgs...for a better tomorrow...or we won't have a tomorrow, let alone a "better one."
Remember when Bob Woodward asked Chimp how he would be remembered in History...and he replied, according to Woodward: "....We'll all be dead."
Well, Chimp might be dead but those who will be dealing with his misbegotten fraudulent policies will be ALIVE for generations. If he cant' look beyond his own nose, there are others of us who will do it for him and make sure he pays in his OWN LIFETIME...and not when: "..we'll all be dead."

it's not even funny anymore. The belief that Amurikka thinks IT is the center of the universe is a "hot topic" across the big pond. Anyone with half a brain there is freaking out (Yes, we hear you and you're in our thoughts and prayers), the rest of your Christofascist mingnons simply need to experience the REALITY of empire arrogance daddy cult "married" to Mother Nature be PISSED! Thank Zeus those two ain't HOMOS!!! ;-)

5. of course, yes, you are right |

As frustrating as it is right now with so many people denying this, on the plus side the task is less ambiguous and complex than it was - simply wake as many people up as quickly as possible to the threat.
People are still focusing on this or that battle, this or that issue, this or that candidate or philosophy or strategy. Everything is at risk. There is one cause - freedom. There is one enemy - those who would steal our government. There is only one strategy - organize and resist wherever and whenever possible. Sooner or later everything else will be seen by all as so obviously petty and mundane in comparison. The sooner people do come to this realization, the less pain and suffering will be involved. Hoping still to avoid any pain and suffering is naive. Many are clinging to this hope in spite of all evidence, and see those raising the alarm as the problem rather than looking at the danger itself.

6. these weren't elections gone wrong |
|
not just a case of malfunctions or the usual "thumb on the scale" vote fraud.
2000 was a coup.
The outcome you fear in your "last chance" scenario already happened. It was punctuated on Dec. 12, 2000.

7. Yes...it was a "coup" and though some of us fought so hard...it seems |
|
we are left feeling "it wasn't enough" and we are told "it will never be enough" give it up and go join a "Co-operative" where you grow your own food, do solar and wind power...and drop out to keep yourself and your principles alive.
That didn't work in the 60's and earlier through all the trials we've been through. I didn't mention the "Labor Movement" in the 1920's in my post...I can't change it now...but that was a terrible ommission.
We've fought so hard and in just four years decades of work has been overturned.
We have to find what happened and it's in these elections. We MUST FIND IT!

8. Adding "THE AMERICAN LABOR MOVEMENT!" So sorry I left that |
|
out of my post. The fight for better wages, worker groups rights to petition Management, and laws against child labor, and reform for workers who were having to work aggregious hours where they had little chance for rest or recreation.
All of this is being dismantled by these maniacs with the help of fellow Americans! I just can't believe it. So, I know that the "Vote" was "frauded."

That was the coup.
We did have a chance to win this election. Only 30% of the voting was controlled and could be stolen. By 2008?
I see no sign that the Democrats are any more willing to take on the machines than they have been since 2002 when Georgia was fixed. They were told; or at least some of them were told.
Many Democrats are busy hanging on to their own jobs, and thus, pretend that everything is business as usual. Krugman wrote that of the candidates, only Dean and Clark understood what was really happening. I know for a fact...fact...that Clark did.
Is our democracy gone?
Look, there is a great deal of difference between "hope" and "optimism." I am not optimistic, but to give up hope would only leave me in dispair. So I fight on, give money, and hope.

11. I probably am too dispairing to even post here, but I hope so much that |

this election will expose whatever the fraud was that goes back to 2000.
We know in our hearts and minds that Gore won. Maybe not by much but he won. And, what I saw on the ground in my "Red State" says Kerry won.
But, until we can find the link that ties this all together, whether it's a piece of code or whatever...we will neve have our country back.
And, I really don't like to be so frantic to our newbie DU'ers but this is so important.

Kerry probably did win. No offense to DUers from Florida, but I don't know why Dem presidential candidates spend money and time trying to win your state. Sure, you've got plenty of EVs but the voting is truly FUBAR.
Anyway, even rove, as evil as he is, as willing to steal and cheat as he might be, cannot predict everything. That is what gives me hope...the possibility of a miracle.
Some change in the weather...
It was ever so much harder for the revolutionaries that founded this country. And yet, knowing how long people waited for a chance to govern themselves, it is sad to see Americans mesmerized by hate-radio and toadie tv, just throw it all away.
What I'm proud of is that my mother didn't raise a fool. Just as others on these boards, well most of them, see what's coming down; they give me have hope. Don't dispair...it just makes the bastards happy. Ain't gonna spend my time making their day. Fuck 'em.
