Building Alliances = IMHO a very good thing!

PDA Unites with DFA for December "Meetups"
November 23, 2004
The month of December marks an important event for Progressive Democrats of America (PDA). We have been working closely with various groups that have grown out of the Democracy for America (DFA) movement. A look at our Alliance page reveals various DFA chapters and local groups working with us to further the progressive agenda within the Democratic Party. Over the past few weeks, this relationship has progressed through several conference calls with PDA and DFA activists from all over the United States. As a result of our conversations with Tom Hughes, DFA's National Political Director, and Howard Dean, we are being included as part of DFA's next Meetup agenda.
Meetups have become a staple in the DFA, and the progressive movement at large. Cooperating with DFA's national office, we have created a packet for the next nationwide Meetup introducing PDA and explaining how we can work together to accomplish our goals.
We encourage all of our PDA members to go to
http://dfa.meetup.com and find out how to join local DFA activists during the December DFA Meetups. DFA is an integral partner in the progressive movement, and we are honored to be invited to their next Meetup.
Before you go, please to go
http://www.pdamerica.org/tools and download a PDA/DFA Meetup Packet.
Call your friends and family and plan to go together. Once you're there, listen to what the DFA grassroots are up to. Introduce yourself. Help us unite this movement at the grassroots level.
We look forward to seeing cooperative actions at the local level. We will succeed united as Progressive Democrats. It is your involvement at these local level meetings that pushes the movement forward.
Thank you for your time, energy and enthusiasm.
