1. but remember there was a third party candidate who |
|
siphoned off alot of votes which probably would have gone to Largent--I think that candidate got 13 or 14%.

2. i know some Republicans who like Brad Henry |
|
they weren't the fanatic types. but the fanatic types would never vote for any democrat anyways. but i think he does have an appeal.
when is he up for re-election ? if it's in 2006 then we can see how the numbers for him are and if he has increased his popularity then that would help him if he wanted to run for president.
Largent also wasn't that great a candidate. while he seems like a nice guy and has the "star" thing going for him he isn't all that smart. i read somewhere that he didn't even know what "GOP" stood for until shortly before he ran for congress.

4. Isn't Oklahoma where the "kill the abortion docs" won?? |
|
Excuse my ignorance of Oklahoma politics but I don't know anything about your governor's views...please tell me he's not like that crazy Senator who just won.

restrictions.
but he ran for governor and they are more open to electing democrats in the governors position since they stay close to home. they are less likely to do it with races which involve the winner going off to washington dc since they don't want them helping other democrats like ted kennedy, hillary and all the other democrats they don't like.

7. nope, to me he is really smart knows how to pick his fights. very |
|
low key guy. to be honest I'm surprised he won, but he pulled it off. I think he would have won even without the third candidate running. he wasn't suppose to win the dem primary.
hell I was even upset that he was the dem candidate, because I didn't see any way in hell that he could beat largent. but the guy is really smart. there is a lesson to be learned here.

background and experience does he have in National Security and Defense, War and Peace, Foreign Relations? Does he give off the aura of a strong CIC who will keep us safe?
We must a "Full Service" candidate. Don't leave some of the dots off the picture.....
2008 will be another "war and values Election".
This ain't 1992......War on Terra and who know what else will still be going on in the New Century.(thanks BushChimp!)
Conservative to moderate Dem governor from a "red" state ain't gonna be enough IMO.
We are on a Myopic course if we don't come up with more attributes than the limited ones I am seeing listed allover DU. We can do better.

11. I think there should only be 49 states |

and Oklahoma should be turned into a parking lot. There's a reason it was set aside for the Indians.

I have some freinds in Oklahoma, and they can't wait to leave. Even my dad, who is a Rethuglican, agrees with me on the Oklahoma parking lot thing.
