10. Yeah, I had a hard time understanding how anyone could fall for the crap

that he (and Rush etc) dish out. But today, I saw part of why they do. I have a couple relatives that listen to him every chance they can. Essentially, with Bill, they don't like to have to think too much. He'll give them easy to understand / emotional statements. For them it's simple...they are right and we (liberal elitists) are wrong. They don't want to have to question anything, especially their own morality (or lack of).

Even contradictory ideas are resolved in this simplistic view. Someone like Rush, that has been divorced three times, an admitted drug abuser, and multi-millionaire can fit into their warped world of proletarian moral righteousness as long as he continues to feed their emotions and not the mind.

It's 'ignorance is bliss' on steroids.

Sorry, I just spent 8 hours wanting to smack some sense into my relatives. But alas, for them as long as Bill/Rush/Hannity make them feel more pious, the hypocrisy is not even seen.
