How blogs work.
Or, how do you get an idea into the community and make it become part of the language of the masses.

To move ideas to those not online and who are not in the blog-o-sphere, here is an option. Its cheap, and YOU can do it. THESE ARE THE PEOPLE WE NEED TO REACH.

All you need is a desire, some paper, a printer and some thumbtacks.

It all started with an idea. I think its a good idea.

I know this is going to take an attention span longer than that of the gnat, but if you check all the links you will see what I am talking about.

Take back the messages to the public.. Take back the media.

Look with almost 60,000 members I can't see how we can't get our clear precise messages out.

I put out four last week on bulletin boards and went back later and they were still there.

I figure If I start doing this regularly that eventually I will have regular readers too!

Those that will go to see what the NEW message is.

I think I will also print some of those nice Branddemocrat things and put them up too.

Please summarize your excellent idea in a sentence,... or four... and post it somewhere here.

four links to get the idea is just asking too much of most folks.

I want your idea to suceed, not trying to be critical or harsh.
RW knows brevity is key, LW "culture" is sadly that of longwinded professors.

summary sentences might be

"Post weekly LW "newspaper", one sheet, at grocery, library, everywhere! Download, print, and u can BE the media! End-run the mainstream media! Download newspaper here.. http://"

8. Putting up posters,it's best to get permission for where you post them.

That way they don't get ripped down right away. A staple gun works better,cheaper,and faster than thumb tacks. Glue can keep your posters up for a long time,though that would be wrong. I do like your spirit about doing this sort of thing.

Read.. I think if people state expecting your news to show up and its good and helpful to them then they will look for it.

we are reaching people that didnt vote, who are not online.. who dont know facts.. they will be brief factual papers hung on community boards.

fear not those boycotting the hated PDF format.. object of a worldwide revolt and boycott... because of the company or because your el cheapo terminal wont do PDF...

These weekly news flyers will be made available in either plaintext or the hated PDF.

a freeper attack on dkos voting, would put many RW articles in.

Might be better to just have a blogger pick good LW articles and assemble the weekly flyer.

The articles could be from DU's Latest News posts, .. of course observing the copywrite laws.. i think they allow brief excerpts for the purpose of reviews and maybe other purposes. For sure, blogs would not have this copywrite problem.

historically, first newspprs were such one sheet posters , put on a wall for the whole town IIRC.

PS at dkos, saw mention that readers will vote on what goes in. Would likely any RW stuff get in?

I want to balance out the RW MONOPOLY media, and not include any thing from the RW in these wall papers. They have enough eyetime as it is.. dont feel i have to give them ANY part of a LW media effort.

Balance in the media should be across all the media, not in every part of it. Giving the RW half of our media , added to their total ownership of other media, is foolish.

Of course it is a liberal publication and will be issued in the sense that it is inspired by.

May I humbly suggest posts 50 and 76? They're mine - detailing a windshield campaign I've started. I printed up 200 flyers, on YELLOW (!) paper - to match the color of their backbones - and when I spot a parked car with a bush/cheney sticker or one of those stupid little "w04" ovals on it, I am leaving one under their windshield wipers.

Put your money where your mouths are, bush-lovers! And the lives of your sons and daughter, too, then.
