For those of you who said Obama said "get over it" GET OVER IT!!!
A fellow DUer listened to a replay of Randi's show with Barack Obama and guess what? HE NEVER SAID GET OVER IT! So those of you whose "feelings were hurt" can breath a sigh of relief. He never said it! Why oh why must we eat our own? How the hell did this rumor start?

97. For all those who think he said "get over it"

Randi's show is on replay now, his words were "I hope everyone is over their mourning period because we have work to do."

He then said "we have to face it, * is the president and it is a republican concress," both of which are facts, whether or not there is a recount and things are overturned. I didn't catch anywhere where he said anyone should stop recount efforts or give up fraud investigations.

Listening is a skill!

I did find the message board, but not the specific words. Others had a sort of reaction as well on the message boards.

I guess we have lost our country now and any control we had, so it hurts badly to have the election dismissed.

Maybe someone can find the archives for you. Meanwhile, I remain criticized but unbowed.

I make no apologies for wanting my vote to count. I did not say what he said, I said something far different.

10. Being less obvious is a skill as well.
When you are going after someone, be very sure what they meant. Be very sure that the person being interviewed was not implying just that....just be sure.

I have watched this thread with interest. Why don't you go and find my post and kick it? You will find I said very little before I was set upon.

Read the wording.

Why is Obama not subject to scrutiny, yet all the other Democrats are? I felt he was implying, just as Kerry actually said....quit crying in your teacups.

He is a fine man, and he is a passionate one. He is going to have to talk the talk and walk the walk though to succeed.

What you are doing here is a little obvious. Find my thread, kick it. Whatever, just don't be so obvious.

Please notice the "don't", as though I thought he might go that far. Please be sure you go after Randi Rhodes as well on this, as she was a little concerned as well.

21. It is 50 minutes into the first half. Nov. 22.
Randi, #1 on my values is counting votes. She says people should not stand in lines for 8 or more hours to vote.

Obama, made no comment. Does not address. Other than mourn, dust yourself off....He sounded nice, calm, ineffective when our democracy has been taken away.

Randi...I count votes...my pet peeve...my hobby.

He ignored it entirely, just like all the other Democrats have done, even Dean has not spoken of it. Randi keeps repeating count the votes.

http://www.randirhodesarchives.com/

Counting the votes was Randi's issues, either he refused to address it or was told not to do so.

22. I stand by the quote
He never said to get over the election, nor in any way imply he thought it was on the up and up and bunnypants won fairly. He did not say get over the results, he said he hoped everyone was over their mourning period because there was work to do, you could even infer that that work could include fraud investigations.

He is not even in office yet, and when he is he will rank 99th on the seniority list, it is not up to him to raise a stink. This is a body where bitter enemies refer to each other as "my esteemed colleague." To expect him to rant and rave about the election results in public is not only unrealistic but counter productive. First impressions are the most important and if he were to speak as many here apparently want him to he would be dismissed and marginalized in the MSM, the senate and by half the population.

He was very neutral on the subject, not tipping a hand either way in a very public forum. That does not mean he is not working behind the scenes nor that he does not believe fraud was committed, but to say so in front of a few million listeners would backfire.

Value your opinion!
Don't criticize my friends

Don't criticize my life style
I'm fed up 'cause all you wanna do is criticize.
You've just closed your mind
ooh ooh - criticize!
Yov don't realize - all you wanna do is criticize.
I just want what is right
still you say
criticize.
Now can't we talk this over?
'Cause your conversation ain't right.
We can make our love stronger
you don't have to think twice.
Don't criticize my friends
criticize my ideas
. . .
You've just closed your mind
ooh ooh - criticize! . . .
You've just closed your mind
ooh ooh - critieize! . . .
Don't criticize my mode
dear
criticize my feeling
Don't criticize my tears
dear
I'm fed up 'cause all you wanna do is criticize.
You've just closed your mind
ooh ooh - criticize! . . .

"I felt he was implying, just as Kerry actually said....quit crying in your teacups."

I don't have time to look up all of your posts, but let's just look at this statement made earlier in this thread. You "felt he was implying" there is nothing wrong with feeling he was implying something, but those of you who are waging a "bash Obama campaign" based upon something you "felt he was implying" you guys are being IRRATIONAL. Admit it. He never said get "over it," you just "felt he was implying."

Now others have gone to say that he really did say "get over it" and that is their basis for bashing him. The problem is he never said it, but some people swear he did and that could be based on the words of you and others who "felt he was implying" something. So to base an attack on someone based on a subjective interpretation of a supposed implication is er uh, whats that word? IRRATIONAL!

58. Relevant because it would be silly to "bash" someone we donated to.
That would be foolish indeed.

53. You just insulted the ones who were Dean Dozens. A little over the top.
Don't you think?

59. Questioning is not "dumping", it is not "attacking". Why so angry,,,,,

60. I'm not angry about the Dean Dozen. . .
. . .I'm angry at anyone who will "question" Obama on such flimsy grounds as "felt he implied." I while I'm not angry about the Dean Dozen I think its silly that you would bring up the Dean Dozen in this conversation.

35. I apologize, nothing personal I assure you
I too have no idea what you originally said, you were'nt even in the thread originally referenced in this thread, where a number of people were criticizing Obama for saying "get over it." That is who my remarks were aimed at.

I agree, I wish all dems would speak up and shout from the rooftops, but without proof they would be dismissed as "sore losermen." I believe many are trying to get to the truth but with the media spin fully in GOP control, they need a damn good case. Look at what happened to Rather.

I appreciate your praise of Obama in a previous post and agree, I would not want anyone telling me to "get over it." I did not feel Obama did that.

Peace and lets get these bush bastards!
