In general, DUers are well read, or as Randi Rhodes says, "We take time to read the Newspaper." I make time to read the front section of the Washington Post each day. The WP has taken a sharp right turn but it's news stories (not editorials) are informative and usually not partisan.
Also, I believe most people who enjoy DU, also search out alternative news sources and don't learn "talking points" from the likes of Rush Limbaugh.
Unfortunately our curious nature and independence encourages us to squabble among ourselves. However, if we can maintain respect for each other, by Jove, we just may come up with some viable action plans for our smaller "local" Democratic groups. Hope! <g>
