Swiftee Jerome Corsi wants to run against Kerry
According to those spam emails I get from Newsmax.com, Jerome Corsi, who co-authored the book "Unfit for Command" and is also infamous for vulgar offensive posts on Free Republic, wants to pull an Allan Keyes and move to Mass to run against John Kerry the next time his Senate Seat is up for grabs. Given that this is Newsmax, the story is about as credible as anything you'll find in line at the Supermarket, but here goes.

For your entertainment.

________________________
Attending a conference in the suburbs of Washington recently, Corsi let it be known that he is actively considering a run against Sen. Kerry when his term is up.

Corsi is not a Massachusetts native, but says he has already scouted for property to declare his residence there.

He appeared excited about the challenge. Federal law allows him to declare his candidacy at any time and open up a full fusillade against the Senate's most liberal member............

Corsi also notes that his Italian-Irish ancestry will give him an edge in a state given to ethnic voting. Kerry is neither Irish nor Italian, Corsi notes.

1. If true
he may have about as much chance as Keyes. If I were Kerry, I'd say,"Bring it on". Then blow him and all the others out of the water. Maybe after that, they'll go away if that happens.

10. Kerry was stupid
He took DLC advice that said these guys would go away if he ignored them. He should have known better. John O'Neil has been after him since Nixon tapped him for the job in the early 70s.

Kerry should have sued the lot of them plus Regenery the day that book came out. Every day he delays doing this means another day those lying sacks of shit can use their resources against him instead of using them to fight a losing battle in court.

I've always had a great deal of respect for Kerry. If he doesn't start fighting these bastards, he's going to lose it.

24. How was the DLC involved?
It was the Kerry campaign.

3. No one here in New England took the Swifts seriously
I would like to see Corsi come up here and try his BS. His Freeper quotes should come in handy. If anything they could be playing into Kerry's hands by having him win a high profile race against a ghost from 04 giving him some credibility to run again for the nomination in 08.

However I am not sure off the top of my head if Kerry's seat is up for election in 06 or 08.

5. 2008, he just won election in 2002 unless I'm mistaken
against Weld, didn't he?

7. I think Weld was 96
Which would have meant Kerry ran again in 02. I know the last time Kerry ran it was against a nobody. I guess it was 02.

18. correct ... Kerry ran against Libertarian Michael Cloud in '02
Cloud got 16.7% of the vote ... there was a last minute write in candidate who opposed Kerry (Forsberg) because of his IWR vote ... Kerry got over 80% of the overall vote ...

the only 2 (maybe 3) risks Kerry could face in a 2008 Senate run would be a rematch with Weld (who may be looking at a run in N.Y.), Romney after Romney gets his ass kicked out of the Governor's seat from a finally awakened Massachusetts Democratic Party (i hope i'm right) or maybe a returning Paul Celucci ...

Massachusetts is proud to let you know that the republicans don't have a whole lot of heavy hitters warming up in the bullpen ...

23. Just bring up his anti-Catholic postings from the freep zone, and
he'd get buried in Mass. :).

You can't be anti-Catholic and hold office in Massachusetts, he'd be run out of the state by a bunch of pissed of Irishmen :).

6. Don't be so sure - isn't MA heavily Diebold? Now that they have scored
nationally what makes you think they can't score MA?
As long as nobody verifies the counts manually it's a freebie for them.
And then we can all wonder what we're doing wrong ad nauseum. :puke:
(sorry, just a little down about it all today)

12. Buck up little buckaroo
It would be the perfect time for Kerry to go after the Diebold bastards. Can you picture him allowing them to steal another election out from under him, this time in his own back yard?

Besides, think of what you're saying. If it's already heavily Diebold, how the Sam Hill did he win in his own state. As long as the Diebolds are in the hands of Dem election officials, we're cool. Plus there's big daddy Kennedy to look after his little buddy.

13. Kerry's teacup runneth over. they'll delight in taking him out-
like they did Daschle, Dan Rather.
It won't be any loss for us - beyond the symbol.
maybe a few "we lost" people will start scratching their heads

Famous last words
He is impatient with Democratic oratory about the "stolen" election.
"Stop crying in your teacups, It isn't going to
change. Get over it."

And the quote is STILL out of context robbedvoter. The next time you post it, it will once again be out of context.

Take him out, my Aunt Fanny. He'll whomp the poor bastard.

Btw, some of us would indeed consider it a great loss to "us."

Hope you're having fun beating your tits about how wronged you've been at the hands of John Kerry.

4. Oh yes please
A man so heinous, even O'Neill had to disassociate.

Mwahahaha! In liberal Massachusetts? After what he did to their favorite son? Oh yessss little fly. Come, we won't hurt you (cackles like an evil scientist.)

Be sure to do a search on freerepublic and save all his posts. We'll need those later, in case he tries to have them deleted.

This could be SO entertaining.

15. That card has been played here before
Kerry lost big in '72 on Vietnam and learned to play defense on the issue. It came up in '84 when he ran against Ray Shamie. (The primaries were much more interesting that year. In the primaries, Kerry was attacked from the left when his opponent said Kerry shouldn't have volunteered to fight in a war he didn't believe in. Only in MA. That pissed off a lot of Veterans who then rallied for Kerry and he won the primary.) In '84 John McCain came to Boston and endorsed Repub Shamie in the general election claiming that Kerry contributed to his pain as a POW. Didn't work. Didn't come up in '90. (McCain/Kerry reconciled, at least until this year, though I hear that Kerry isn't taking McCain's phone calls right now.)

The issue came up again in '96 in the Kerry-Weld race in the pages of the Boston Globe. (Part of the eternal weirdness that is Kerry's relationship with the Globe.) Again, caused lots of Vets to get angry and Kerry won. (Helped by the fact that Weld was tied to Gingrich and that Clinton carried MA by 30 points.)

I would love to see this guy move here and attempt this again. I don't think a whole lot of MA residents were very happy with the slams against the state in the last election. It would be nice to have someone to take it out on.

No way! 'from Harvard University in political science in 1972'?

LOL - google turns up 'expert on political violence and terrorism' - guess political violence fits, tho.

It's bad enough what they did during the campaign and now we've gotta listen to threats from them??

Isn't it about time we went on the offensive against these smearing lying fucks? This party needs to grow some backbone and wage some payback.

16. LOL Romney
would have to choose between endorsing this A-hole, or not coming out against Kerry which would hurt him with the National GOP. Either way, Romney is screwed if this happens.

Another funny note, Corsi talks about Mass having a lot of Irish and Italians who vote based on heritage. Well Mass also has a lot of Irish-Catholics and Italian-Catholics who won't be so pleased to see the posts of a man who called their religion that of the "boy buggers" and compared it to Islam.

Senator Kerry is rumored to be considering suing O'Neal and the other swifties. I think that such a lawsuit has a great deal of merit and should be pursued.
