4. Is that the one where Falwell tells me and a large portion of my church |
|
that we are not Christians? Oh, and he also told Sharpton that he wasn't a Christian, also.

6. The best part is the look on Tim's face as he went to break- |
|
you could tell he was hysterically laughing at Jerry's nonsense. He also called out "peace" jokingly. Priceless.
Too bad these guys didn't openly cheerlead for Bush before the election- it would have turned off some of the moderate-liberal, suburban, Republicans.

15. I suspect they had all-expense-paid vacations out of town. |
|
Just so they'd be too busy.

The only ones with any sense are the Reverends Wallis and Sharpton.

8. Sounds compelling, but no thank you. |
|
As tempting as it may be to hear Rev. Falwell exult in the victory of the religious right wing, I think I may go with scraping my corneas with a rusty scalpel instead.

9. Also funny was when Jerry said, "I was also against Hitler." |
|
Duhhhhhh!! And the smart, Liberal, Rev., (Not Sharpton- the other one) said, "Most of us were."

10. thanks! What a joy to hear Rev Jim Wallis (and Al Sharpton) |

. . . he made a great point on MtP - we debate these issues perpetually and attack eachother - but the real value is in finding solutions - like abortion - what can we do to make unwanted pregnancies as rare as possible?
Rev Sharpton was excellent - kudos to him for nailing the bloviating rev with the dyed hair on rewriting history regarding Martin Luther King and the Southern Baptist Conference.
The two radical Christian mullahs were disgusting.

11. That putrid, cretinous turd |
|
...who said that if a husband does not want his wife to work, she has to stay home--that guy was a real piece of work!
I'm astounded at the rank, gleeful ignorance of some of these Jesus Wingnuts. It isn't a question of culture with some of these clowns, it really comes down to lack of intellectual capacity. They don't realize that they disobey the teachings of their beloved Jesus every time they get all judgmental and shirty. Heathens! Nitwits! The only ones dumber than they are their followers!

12. well, then there was Falwell bloviating about the first thing he does in |
|
the morning is pray - in the shower for his whole family by name, and calls down a curtain of whatever from gawd to protect them all...I think the first thing he does in the morning is consume at least 6000 calories of high fat fast food (sorry, I just watched Supersize Me) - honestly, the man looks verrry unhealthy, and probably isn't following Jesus' health recommendations either.
By the way, did anyone else fall off their chair when Sharpton asked the other radical fundy - Rev Whatever of the Southern Baptist Conference (whose wife is his servant - heck, she probably dyes his hair for him AND plucks his abnormally symmetrical hairline)
"Do you use a whole Bible?"
This came after said fundy quoted a random Bible passage to back up his crackpotted-ness.

13. Now, when you think about that |
|
...it's really pretty disrespectful of that lardass mo-fo. I mean, really! Most faiths have SOME sort of ritual associated with prayer, be it kneeling, bowing, prostrating, whatever, to show respect and reverence for the power and glory of the almighty...but rubbing your ass with a well-soaped loofah (shades of Dild O'Reilly) while asking for the Lord's favor does not seem like a very respectful thing for a good X-tian to do.
What's with all this multitasking before the Lord?? Does he pray for the starving children in Africa while taking a dump? Pray for peace as he picks his nose? What a schmuck!!!
The visual image alone is disturbing!

16. Well, we're all naked in the sight of the lord. |
|
And cleanliness is next to godliness.
So picking up a bar of soap is close to praying.
