Evidence of assassination plan against Bush in Columbia not found
Evidence of assassination plan against Bush in Columbia not found

Saturday, November 27, 2004

BY ANDREW SELSKY
ASSOCIATED PRESS

BOGOTA, Colombia -- Colombia's main rebel group asked followers to mount an assassination attempt against President George W. Bush during his visit to Colombia last week, Defense Minister Jorge Uribe said. There was no evidence Saturday that rebels even tried to organize such an attack.

Uribe told reporters late Friday that informants said the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, known as the FARC, told followers to attack Bush during his four-hour visit in the seaside city of Cartagena last Monday, where he met with Colombian President Alvaro Uribe.

5. Here's what's funny about that article to me
Yesterday here I read a couple of replies to the original article and they said it was a fat lie. I didn't believe them, though I kept that to myself. Some people are apparently even MORE cynical than I am! }(

6. You know, I am so jaded when I first heard about this I thought "Just like
everything else where bush* is concerned." Uribe and bush* probably hatched a little scheme to garner some sympathy and an excuse why bush* has to run around with four thousand Secret Service Agents trailing his ass. A little attempt at making himself look more important than he really is. I doubt that anyone thinks Chimpy is at the helm of the Ship of State. So why go after him?

Just like the day of 9/11 and the reasons why he had to run and hide. Or the story about the British almost 'discovering' his trip to Iraq for Thanksgiving a couple of years ago. A lie, an unnecessary one, but totally typical.

7. Now, I'll say it again ... isn't POPPY BUSH trying to spin the
EXTRAVAGANT protection mobilized by junior any time he steps out of the white house by paying someone to plant this story in the mainstream presstitute media? A story like this justifies the amount of dollars spent by shrubbie on behalf of his own protection even when he doesn't give a darn about anybody else's life as the massacre of innocent iraqi civilians continues to demonstrate; it also sets up the stage to justify the UNPRECEDENTED SECURITY MEASURES, as the presstitutes in Washington are calling it, to be taken during junior's second treasonous and perjurious swearing in to the reigns of power.

I guess Poppy thought, when he paid for the story, that "marxists in Colombia" would sound more frightening and perhaps even more real than "drug lords in Colombia" ... and after all, he also may have thought, "marxists in Colombia gives it more of a legitimate flavor to the cause of war on evil than war on the drug lords..."

these bushes think they are so smart .....

9. Of course not.
It's just more lies from the most corrupt administration in the history of our once great nation.

Remember when bush ran like a scared little girl on 911 and then told us it was because of credible threats against Air Force and later had to retract that statement?
