My brother-in-law, an Army officer voted for Bush..?
My brother-in-law just made it back in for the Holidays having been in Iraq for most of the year. He is an officer and wants to stay in the Army for his career, he is currently a Major(which actually pays pretty good).

Even though he had to be away from his 3 children all under 8 years old most of the year and lost a very close friend over in Iraq while he was over there as well, he still voted for Bush :wtf:.

Want to know his reason? "Because Bush won't cut military spending." :eyes:

Yep thats his reasoning . I'm still baffeled by it, I mean that vote is basically a vote to say I'm willing to go back to Iraq again or Iran.

I've already told my wife when he goes back I don't want to hear any bitching and moaning from them :nopity:. Because as you know an officer like that will get his ass dragged back to there or Iran sooner or later.

and Bush doesn't. Tell him that, I would like to hear what he saids.

2. The officer corps is notoriously Republican

This should come as no surprise.

If they bitch when he goes back, remind them they voted for him to go back.

3. My brother is also an officer--Lieutenant-Army Corps of Engineers
Went back into the service for the same reason a lot of people did--to get promoted into the money.
He is currently in Indiana training a group of 30 guys and scheduled to go to Iraq just before X-mas. When I went to the airport before he left for Indiana, the election was a week away. I was so tempted to ask him who he was voting for. But I didn't. It's been excruciating for me to know what is behind this war, and how to react to my brother being in the military. I guess I chose NOT to know because I have to distance myself from the politics of war,(as far as my brother is concerned) now that I have to deal with the reality of it.

Now that the little rant is over, I would have to say if you think that half of America is brainwashed because of media coverage like FOX news, can you imagine how brainwashed our military is? IMHO
