America, why don't we ask questions anymore?

I have a story i've written for my blog, and i hope others can read it and possibly help me refign and portray this message.

History shows America is strong when America is exploring – exploring the reaches of space, exploring the depths of our oceans, exploring the human mind and exploring the sciences of the world. Strength is something we achieve by creating an understanding of our self, the world and everything around us. Strength is something unique to us as individuals and as a nation. For us to be strong we must continue to explore. We must continue to race beyond our immediate needs, we must embrace the unknowns and seek truth, seek meaning and seek answers to our questions. As a nation we must be explorers, willing to take risks and willing to do the job.
