A very telling Republican TV Ad
In a congressional runoff in Louisiana, the republican candidate (Lil billy tauzin) has a TV ad showing him with bush at the white house and billy touting his conservative "values." The announcer says - when it comes to Louisiana's concerns, whose phone call will bush return? That would be bush, the great uniter. So if a DEMOCRAT IS ELECTED REPRESENTATIVE IN LOUISIANA BUSH WON'T RETURN HIS PHONE CALL. That according to the republican candidate.

And in a reflection of life in America in the 21st century, Pollsters are predicting a low turnout for the runoff this weekend will favor republicans.

BEST WISHES TO DEMS IN LOUISIANA - GET OUT AN VOTE FOR CHARLIE MELANCON.

Graft and Corruption-GOP Style

>>It is good to see how the GOP has taken advantage of its virtual single-party control of the Congress and White House to shake down their friends for campaign cash. But even this is somewhat brazen, even for Billy Tauzin, who is one of the biggest sleazebags the GOP has.

But that shouldn’t stop Henry Waxman or other House and Senate Democrats from going after DeLay and Tauzin. Hopefully, the Center for Public Integrity, the Center for Responsive Politics, and even Common Cause will also look into this.<<

3. Bush used this line extensively in 2002
When campaigning for Republicans, he would say, "Vote for this guy, because when he phones the White House, his calls will be returned." I found it extremely obnoxious, but I didn't notice anyone in the media commenting on it at the time.

4. Hello Statgirl and welcome to DU
Or maybe Louisianians can chalk the ad up to compassion; another great conservative lie.
