Let's put forth a Constitutional Amendment: USA is a democracy... |
|
(not a republic) and include in it that every man and woman over 18 gets to vote for President and all votes must be verifiable by a paper receipt.

1. Too technology specific |
|
and needs more requirements, such as the ability to perform manual recounts.

3. Would you eliminate the "republic vs democracy" part for the following? |
|
Every citizen over the age of 18 is guaranteed the right to a direct vote in the Presidential election.
No voter registration is required.
Proof of citizenship would be the same as that which is required to obtain a US Passport.
Votes may be cast at any US Post office in the county in which the voter resides.
All votes must be verifiable by a human, manual count.
There is a 10 day period during which a vote may be cast, beginning October 24th and ending November 2nd of every 4th year.

4. Lets see: A Constitutional amendment would require a congressional |
|
vote. Now, who owns congress? Do you really believe the fascists who are now in power would vote for your amendment?
How long will it take for DUers to realize what happened Nov. 2?
No longer can we work within the framework of a democracy. Get it?
