Cspan repub callers using word treason with Democrats
Edited on Tue Nov-30-04 11:59 AM by quinnox
I'm getting tired of hearing all the ignorant red state repubs calling into Cspan in the morning and using the word treason or treasonous when talking about Democrats. What do these clowns have against the first amendment anyway?? Are they so sensitive and delicate that they can't bear to hear any criticism of their beloved president?

It's these types that make up a large part of Bush's base, it is sad that they hate freedoms so much. I bet in their dark dreams if you said one word against President Bush in public they would like to have you hauled off to jail in their fantasies.

Wait...if they have nothing to think about, how is it that this fills their empty heads?

2. the only amendment they care for is the Second
it is also mind-boggling to me that they tend to demonize the ACLU becuase it seeks to protect and defend the Bill of Rights, with the exception of the 2nd which is well cared for by the NRA....

4. So sick of the Hypocrisy...
I don't remember Republicans being called traitors when they were hunting Clinton.

Someone should ask these 'morans' why they were being traitors for going after Clinton.

"What - you weren't a traitor? Well gee, I guess you thought you had the right to question his leadership then..."

7. And don't forget that when Clinton DID try to go after bin Laden, they
accused him of wagging the dog. Thanks, Repubs, for nuthin.

19. I put up a request for help on the link.
The archives are closed on DU, but this happened back in the 90s. Clinton had signed a death warrant on bin Laden and there were noteable attempts to not just get bin Laden, but any camps or chemical plants that he might use. One missile strike was called off because the CIA got cold feet, but another hit a pharmecutical plant, which by Bush's standards, would have been justifiable because of the chemical traces that were later found. However, the Republicans in the 90s dismissed the attack as a "wag the dog" to distract from Clinton's Monica Lewinsky problem. Obviously, this not only showed that the Republicans had no support for Clinton's attempt to get bin Laden, but they would use every near miss to criticize him. Imagine if we did the same thing to Bush for every missile strike that has killed civilians. Imagine.

starts on page 173 in the 911 Report, the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States. Look it up.

23. Thank you so much. I remember in 1998...
I was picking up a Christmas tree when I heard about the air strikes.

The next day I had to listen to all the crap about "he did it to distract from the impeachment" bs.

I found myself explaining to all the ignorant (not their fault) people that UNSCOM had had to pull out the day before because they had been barred entry to their third facility.

We had 4 years of intelligence on where these things were - he HAD to order those strikes IMMEDIATELY because they would have moved everything.

He had no choice, and UNSCOM and SADDAM weren't acting on behalf of Clinton.

So much ignorance.

24. Wow. You understood more about it than I did.
But I think it was the Pakistani change of government that did more to hurt Clinton's attempt to get bin Laden.

And I remember the military did not like Clinton and were certainly not going to go the extra mile for him. In my book it means that our military was less than honorable and all this talk about supporting the commander in chief is just crap.

I bookmarked the page because there was some more interesting references added.

12. Libel suits: Sue the Bastards.
Seriously, Kerry should take his 17,000 lawyers and sue everybody possible for libel. From John O'Neil on down to every anonymous jackass on Washington Journal. These people undermine us with lies, and it's illegal.

Kerry shied away from the "L" word, but these people's pants are on fire. Time to call the liars liars.

Democrats need to send a message that there will be consequences for this kind of behavior.

I think we should sue everyone. Sue Bush. Sue Cheney. Every ridiculous thing they said over the course of the campaign...make them defend it in a court of law.

George Bush said that John Kerry said he was going to submit matters of national security to a global test, giving veto power to the United Nations. Turns out, that's exactly the opposite of what he said. Sue the bastard.

Dick Cheney lied again and again in the Vice Presidential debate. "What Prayer breakfast?" Sue the bastard.

John O'Neill tried to destroy John Kerry's credibility as a veteran with lies, a few of which are demonstably false. Sue the bastard.

Let them pound the 'sore loser' drum. We will pound the "You guys are a bunch of looney liars who can't win without lying to destroy the opposition."

Not once did I hear the words, "Politics of Personal Destruction" during this campaign. Why is that???

25. They're not the problem
it's the Dem callers who get through and whine like Franken. Every Dem who gets through should use words like "coward", "traitor", "thief", "liar", "idiot", "embarrassment", "pathetic", and "loser".

We are not going to get back i nthe game with these misanthropes by whining about the way they lie and cheat.

27. Bush**'s neo-fascist sycophants deserve what's coming
I'm really looking forward to the day when these morons are rudely awakened from their mass delusion by the stench of betrayal -- and realize it's coming from the WH. And that day is coming. By God, I'll PAY to watch them bite their quivering lower lips for as long as they can before they storm DC and oust BushCo themselves. Then we can charge them with treason and give them a choice:

Firing squad or Iraq?
