CNN reporting at least double turnout today in IA as in 2000!
This would be a record turnout!! IMO, this means Dems are mad, activated, and energized to the hilt! Let's keep up the momentum for the November election. If we do His Lowness is regurgited toast!

3. You can declare party affiliation as you walk in the door...
ANYBODY that's an Iowa resident of legal age can vote, even Republicans if they switch parties for the caucus (and switch back later).

It's generally not assumed to be a big problem, but it CAN happen.

6. You usually only declare at the caucus/primary.
So you will be whatever party you declared until the next primary. I work the polls and saw a large number of Dems turn Rep in an attempt to influence the McCain/Bush primary. I think they get all the Rep mailings also. :evilgrin:


I agree that it isn't a big problem. It is easier to herd cats than to get a concerted election fraud scheme together.
