Canada Trip Was a Mistake
I think that given the presidents comments and some of what was said by US media (which did get played here) the US has probably gone down in the eyes of most Canadians.

3. He was just elected in June
We don't have a pre-determined date for elections. Another could come at any time, as we are currently being ruled by a minority gov't. All it takes is a vote of non-confidence. However in a situation with a majority gov't, I believe that elections can be called anywhere from 3 years to 5 years after the initial election. But I'm not sure of the specifics.

4. I find the whole idea of a Bush charm offensive amusing.
It's great fun to watch the chimp being exposed to real dissent. Then watching him make an ass of himself trying to pretend it's not happening is almost comical. I wish he would travel abroad continuously for the next four years.

11. The Canadians got a close up and personal

taste of the BS shrub spews here daily. They don't buy it either. They see him as a bumbling, inept, fool
of a leader who can't even remember what's going on in the real world, let alone discuss it.

They no doubt think his "charm and good-humor act" was an attempt to deflect attention from his obvious
weaknesses, ie: not being able to walk more than a few yards without stumbling, and the inability to construct
cognitive sentences.

All he's got is the "terra" card to play. An insult to their intelligence, and ours. How embarassing.

12. A Disaster for Bush = Success for US!
He is surrounded, even moreso now, by yes men and women. It's imperative he leaves his gilded cage and see what the world REALLY thinks of him. He'll never hear anything negative in THIS country, Lord knows. The MSM sucks up and he doesn't bother with the papers.

Even bush remarked that it was nice to be greeted by so many and that some actually showed ALL their fingers!!
LOL!

It isn't ALL of the U.S. down in the world's eyes...
it is the bush neo con-artists and the lemmings who voted for him

how pathetic......

16. As a Canadian Male....
(Just married sorry)

The consensus between myself and my friends has always been the American people are great. Sure there is the ugly Americans, but you get that in all cultures. Americans on the whole, are usually decent great people. We will always love you, but we do, and this is with no word of hypocrisy inflected, "HATE" your administration.

All the ties to Nazi's and Fascism and pathetic media are always parts of our conversations.

But you the people are and always shall be our friends.

It's worrisome to me to watch how much the US, hates us, the last week has been a eye opening event on American cable news, of slamming Canadians, for every reason. Trade, our Uselessness, Weakness, Envy, etc.

That has to stop, your pundit's do it to far too many countries. You are already alienated, why let these people slam the French, Germans, Canadians, et al....

18. The sane don't hate you
I truley respect what Canada did, in their protests against bush.

There is a annoying percentage that voted for bush/dick .. as for the pissy factor against Canada you do have people like Tucker, and fox news who have slamed Canada over and over, because you won't particpate in a needless war.

But most of us understand people not wanting to go in an sweep up this admin's mess. Heck we don't want you to.. we also want our own troops back here safe, the Iraq people left to govern themselves.

We understand what it is to love a country but despise the leadership, we are all living it.

23. Canada can help
For worldwide matters, there is at least one issue where
Canada can help, one would be, passing enacting laws
for the Kyoto treaty.
The parliment has ratified Kyoto.
Don't expect action from the US.
The world is begging for leadership, on this issue.
The longer you wait, the more difficult it becomes,
as the impact of the changes needed, become less furthur
out in time.
I do understand that, a minority gov't might be hesitant to
tackle a controversial issue, but...
Canada would appear to be a natural leader
on this issue, time for action.

Canada has a REAL media; they've always known what a bullshitting fake fraud of a petty little asshole bush is. His trip didn't change anything.
