8. My hubby was in the oil-gas industry, and they have made ..
some notable efforts to clean up their act.

Any info to the contrary?

5. Venezuela does
Or rather, the Venezuelan national oil company, aka PDVSA.

3. You can buy Venezuelan Gas from some stations here in the U.S.
I lost the link to locate their stations. Perhaps someone could post it.

4. Thank you great spirit in the sky!
Most of the places I shop are blue, but my one and only makeup brand is 91% Dem - oh how I love Clinique.

By the way, that is an awesome site. Thanks for posting it!

10. You should try Follow Your Money
http://www.followyourmoney.com/

The two sites differ on some companies. Someone had pointed out that with the first site, Fox was blue. ???

7. Thanks for the link.
Is there any way we can send suggestions to the site? For example, WinCo just opened up a store here in Temecula, Ca. - and it is entirely employee-owned, and that should mean a fairer ratio.

I'm using it. I'm not sure I'll be able to boycott, but I can promise to direct my $ to the right place as much as is practicable.

9. Also, can we donate to the site?
Is it advisable to write to companies like CostCo, telling them that we are choosing to spend $ there instead of somewhere else? Has anyone had any experience with communication with blue companies in that regard?

12. Yes, I just found this out!
My gas tank has gotten a sudden yearning for tropical gas.....gas served up from a Shell.....as a matter of fact, my car will never run on anything else.

If anyone wants to know which companies are the "Blue" companies, go to 'DU Groups' on the left hand side. Next, go to 'Economic Issues'. In there, the DU reader will find several threads which discuss which companies we should buy from.

I'm doing it.

14. Oh, the irony
That FOX employees donate 68% to Democrats (they really ARE being forced to say things they don't believe, aren't they!), and MSNBC employees donate 67% to Republicans.
