Bill Richardson for President? |
Just saw his interview with Judy Woodruff on Inside Politics and he definitely wouldn't rule out a 2008 run. (Although he did say it's so far off it's not even on his mind, usual politico-babble)
He said, "Well for now I have to focus on my state legislature, and I want to do a good job as the head of the DGA (Democratic Governors Association), then I have my own reelection to worry about in two years, after that, well, we'll see."

1. He'd be excellent. But then the cheap labor republicans will show |
how hypocritical they are by bringing up illegal aliens and insecure border issues as a scare tactic to rouse up the hatred in their brown-skinned-people-hating base.. which will be risky because then they'd take a chance in losing the latino vote.

2. I'd put Richardson at the top of my list of preferred Democrats |
He's got both executive experience as Governor and has also extremely good foreign policy experience. I remember when N. and S. Korea went to meet with Richardson because Shrub Inc was ignoring the situation in Korea. He also was really good in foreign negotiations under the Clinton administration. Being a south western of Hispanic decent is also a plus. Does anybody have any negatives on him?

4. Bill Richardson is very qualified |
I could easily support him. I still love how he made the Democratic State Senators feel at home during their attempt to block Delay's redistricting of Texas.
