Bush Says He's Just Listening To The Generals...
Who does this guy think he's kidding. The move on Falluja and the troop increases were needed long ago. They were most clearly and crassly put off until the election was over to avoid the fallout. Guess he wanted to know that Diebold had everything neatly wrapped before claiming a "mandate" and staying the hell out of the course...

9. Is Kerik Intellectually Challenged?
Edited on Sun Dec-05-04 07:06 AM by alank
Quote from BBC News: "Mr Kerik dropped out of high school to join the army, where he became a military policeman stationed in South Korea. After a few years, he left to work as a security expert in the Middle East, including a stint with the Saudi royal family."

Great! The guy in charge of protecting the continent was a high school drop out who later became a security guard for Wahabi supporting Saudi royals (1). Well, the good news is that his arteries are probably so clogged from scarfing back trans-fatty donuts during his cop career that he may not survive the term. Still, he did make it through public school, so he probably knows the basic colors, and hence has the security portfolio licked: "Duh, Red is bad, green is good....right boss?"

Meanwhile, Bush takes a break while taking questions from reporters on Ridge's resignation.

(1)Wahabi: Puritanical Saudi Islamic sect founded by Muhammad ibn-Abd-al-Wahab (1703–1792), which regards all other sects as heretical. By the early 20th century it had spread throughout the Arabian peninsula; it still remains the official ideology of the Saudi Arabian kingdom. Known for their extremism.

12. What I for the life of me I can't understand
Why is there not more military outcry. Where are Veterans Against the War when you need them? American needs to see these folks to understand the cost we are paying. Personally, I firmly believe that once the insurgency was allowed to take root, the chance for "victory" was already behind us. The continuing abuse photos were the final nail in the coffin. Now it is just a matter of how high the costs will have to be before we give it up and come home. We really didn't learn anything in the Southeast Asian jungles...

11. That's the Freaking Sick Part
All these damn Chickenhawk asses were all busy with "other priorities" when their turn came around. I'm no military man myself. On the other hand I have never ordered anyone to kill or die.

I think each and every body should lie in state in the Whitehouse so these retarded butchers can see what their war is still costing. Sometimes I think they really do believe the mission was accomplished and all is well. Hard to say how they see the world from their bubble.
