How much did Kucinich help Edwards? |
|
Were there a lot of Kucinich voters who went for Edwards, for all of you who were there? How big a factor do you think it was, Kucinich and Edwards' pledge I mean.

2. On the caucus shown on C-SPAN, it meant an additional delegate |
|
for Edwards. The delegate breakdown there was Kerry 6, Edwards 3, Dean 2. No one else was viable.

Kucinich people were told to go Edwards and they did, Dean's people thought they had it won, so they stayed home, Kerry stacked the hall with every union man he could and poor Gueppy had no where to turn.
So Gueppy and Kucinich are now toast, but the weirdest moment tonight came on CNN when Bob Dole called Gen.Clark Colonel. Made Clark look like a fool.
Congrats to Kerry, resurections do happen, PTL!

It made DOLE look like a fool. Good job kissing up to a rethug, though.

9. Clark corrected Dole on the spot. |
|
Clark is the General, Kerry is not.

4. Quite a bit in my precinct |
|
Edwards was not even viable until the Kucinich people came over. Then, after Gephardt was declared non-viable, enough of them plus a few Clark people pushed Edwards up to just over 25%, getting Edwards 2 out of the precincts 8 delegates. So, in this case, Kucinich helped Edwards get half of his delegates.

Remember,
That the Iowa Caucasus are very unique. When people are casting secret ballots, this won't happen.
The big winner tonight is indeed Edwards in my opinion. He wasn't much of anywhere. Kucinich saved his bacon.
The race is 100% alive for Dean. He has as many delegates as Clark who didn't compete in Iowa. Don't forget that small northeast states are Dean's stronghold ;-)

6. Kucinich could have received 14% statewide and no one would know |
|
I am very impressed that Dennis and Edwards made that alliance. 14% counts as zero but it could increase the totals of someone who got more than the threshhold 15%. This also dramatically raises my opinion of Edwards, who I liked before. Wouldn't the two of these guys make a great team.

8. We just had one Kucinich supporter |
|
and she came to the Dean people first, and when we weren't viable we took her with us when we went to the Edwards group.
