* is sending holiday cards to low-dollar contributors -- Why? |
|
I listened to a woman at my place of employment bragging yesterday that she has received her annual Christmas card from * and Pickles. Is she a high-dollar contributor? Hell, no. She says she contributed just $35 to *'s campaign. She is also not the only Republican she knows who received a card for a very minor donation.
Just out of idle curiosity -- aren't these cards typically used to woo the high-dollar contributors? Also, do they send the card to millions of the "little people" so they can brag about doing so in the yearly press release?

4. There's 2 different ones |
|
I remember that from last year. One for the masses, and a more official one for the elite. I don't remember who paid for each of them though.

3. Basic sales technique-ever buy a car? I get a holiday card every |
|
year, as well as a birthday card from the dealership where last I bought a vehicle. I also get holiday cards from the veterinarian. Got the driveway fixed 2 weeks ago and already have gotten a 2005 calendar and a holiday card from the guy who fixed it. I had a plumber once who took notes when he got to his truck and could come in every time with some info from the past I had mentioned-it DID make me feel that I was not just money to him.
It's a proven sales method to make people feel like you think they're special, maybe those people will make sure to vote for Bush again, just like the dealership salesman hopes when I go to buy a car again,I will do it from him

5. That's just one of the ways |
|
you keep your base cultivated. It's cheap and easy, makes them feel "special", and keeps them loyal and engaged.
