Am I the only one not "surprised" by Bush's food safety remarks?

He explained that the government is working on protecting our food supply. His exact words were:

"This is a large company, uh country, and...."

Surprised the heck out of me. He's usually not that spot on about everything. But he spoke truth. He is the CEO of corporate America, not the president of our country. The bulge had to correct him. But it was the corporations who bankrolled him, the corporations who rigged the vote for him, and the corporations who are his base--no wonder he sees himself as in charge of a large company instead of a country.

I was listening to the Laura Flanders show on AAR, and the clip was played during the news break. I emailed Laura about it and said, "Play it again, Laura!" Laura replied, "Ask and ye shall receive," and replayed the clip along with some well-chosen barbs about how he is protecting profits, not people.

(If you're interested in anti-corporate politics, please PM or email me.)

1. hadn't heard that before
But it doesn't surprise. But he is really the COO of the Bush Crime Family. Or maybe that would be Rove.

2. I caught that slip--this (the US) is a large company--also
But not surprized----profits for the CEO's (the bush clan and friends)--fits just fine into his mentality!!

5. He Probably Didn't Correct Himself!
The voice on the end of the other end of the "non-existant" bulge probably did!

4. And the country should be reassured....
Which only goes to show you that the country should be reassured because of his long track record of spectacular success in all of his business ventures.

Oh, wait a moment...

7. And the corporations ARE the media. Owning the media AND the vote machines
is just about all any fraud dictator needs.

10. I heard it replayed on PBS radio.

And I emailed Randi about it, so there's a good possibility it will be replayed again on AAR.
