9/11 Timeline site about to be shut down
One of the things we can do against the current administration is keep real journalism alive--and have something to counter the predigested facts we get from the corporate media.

One website, Cooperative Research. org, has done just this. They have timelines--based on mainstream media sources from different countries--that put together the whole story on issues from 9/11 to Iraq. When I saw Farenheight 911, I realized that many of Michael Moore's facts (including some of the lesser known ones) were already on Cooperative Research's timelines. These timelines also contain a great deal of information that Moore didn't even touch.

Unfortunately, the site is running extremely low on funds. It is basically being run by 2 guys out of California, and they can't afford to pay someone to run down the news articles they need to keep track of the Bush administration. They are actually planning to shut down if they can't raise enough money this weekend.

I think this sight is extremely valuable. But you don't have to take my word for it. Go there and look at the timelines:

http://www.cooperativeresearch.org/timelines.jsp

If the spirit moves you, there is info about donations on the site. Please check it out, though. It is one of the best sources out there.

Nikki

3. Sent $25.00 last week.
It'll be a goddam shame if this site shuts down. No one else is compiling more detailed information on the entire historical interrelationships of US policy in thepast 30 years or so. I hope someone can step up and fund these guys properly....

15. low on cash, but
I will buy his book, The Terror Timeline by Paul Thompson http://www.delcanton.com/Paul_Thompson_Terror_Timeline_product_info.php?products_id=285&osCsid=6415a3eb0d57c05df87109904144c976

I have spent hours at their site trying to connect the dots. These guys give the word intelligence real meaning! Rock solid research and hard work. I wish somebody could give them the full donation! It would be a real loss if they had to quit the full time project.

EDITED TO ADD:

According to their recent update, they have had a positive response today but it is nowhere near enough. They are not even halfway where they need to be. Donations can be made through Monday.

17. This is one of the best sites
Edited on Mon Dec-06-04 12:26 AM by fujiyama
I've seen on international affairs and 9/11 and the many years that before it.

And it's not a "conspiracy theory" site. It stuck in large part to mainstream outlets.

It'd be a shame if it goes down. I think I'll probably order the book, of which the proceeds go to the site.

21. Where the hell are all the rich Democrats?? Calling Hollywood!
I just donated and I'm unemployed! Where the hell are the rich liberals? This shouldn't happen. Our country has been hijacked and it's sites like this that help us with our arguments.

I hope to God someone mirrors all the information at this site.

I'm just sick about this.

22. cooperativeresearch.org must remain operational
Cooperative Research Fundraising Drive

We need to raise $30,000 this quarter. Details
Day 96.3 : $12048.39

12/4/2004: Financial Status.
Our fundraiser for next quarter has ended and we would like to thank everyone who contributed. Unfortunately, we did not even raise 50% of our fundraising goal. The $30,000 budget we proposed would have allowed us to operate at full throttle. And as we explained in our last email update, $15,000 was the absolute minimum we needed to continue. We really cannot effectively continue this project with anything less. However, the response to our final plea for help has been very positive and if donations continue at the current rate it is quite probable that we will make it to the half-way point by Monday. We will therefore leave the fundraiser box up until Monday so people wishing to respond to our final plea can see how we are doing.
