Buckle up. Kerry is going to get *skewered* in this forum in the future
As a supporter of his since I joined this board (along with Dean later and yet later Kucinich), I remember the viciousness on both sides running up to Clark's entrance, when they were seen as the chief rivals. Kerry has weaknesses like all the other candidates, and we are going to see those aired out in detail and in obscurity many, many times. And you know? That's the way it should be. Being a frontrunner carries with it the microscope and shotgun analyses, and if you aren't ready for either, you aren't ready to be president.

3. It'd be nice to have the Clark people off our back, for once.
You're welcome to it.

4. actually, it seems a lot of the Clark supporters here...
myself included, quite like John Kerry.

Furthermore, I haven't seen a lot of Kerry supporters telling the same silly lies about Clark again and again and again.

I think Clark and Kerry supporters will get along pretty well.

8. Indeed
Kerry is my Senator and I've voted for him proudly in the past. I'll be happy to do so in the future, should he be the nominee.

15. Count me in with what you said.
Hostility was dealt back toward the direction from which it emanated.

I haven't had any trouble with Kerry supporters and don't foresee it, since I will gladly support Kerry or Edwards.

Dean, I could have never stomached.

 Congrats Kerry and Edwards folks! :hi:

5. Then..
Everything old is new again. Kerry has already been beaten to a pulp and left for dead on this forum.

But... he lives! ;)

6. I certainly won't !
Speaking as a person that didn't have Kerry as "their guy" and as one that didn't think he had ANY chance about two months ago - (to clarify I liked Kerry just didn't think he would be able to garner a large enough following)

NOT ONLY am I eating my words...I applaud his success tonight in Iowa.

I think Kerry made one hell of a comeback given all the setbacks he initially had with his campaign management etc.

I never would have predicted this!

11. Not by me. Although I still think Clark would do the best in the GE,
I can't help but to respect Kerry for his service to our country and party.

14. They all have weaknesses.
But I truly believe John Kerry can become president with our help, and defeat Bush.

16. Hmmm!
Not my first choice, but I'll cut his grass if he is our nom. I think he was deceived by chimps lies, as others were, maybe not so many here at du. We are a savy crew.

17. I remember it like it was yesterday... you mean it wasn't yesterday?

I think it is too early to call Kerry the frontrunner, considering the fact that he is not leading in any poll being run in any state or in any national poll, but as far as Kerry getting *skewered* -- this is politics, no?

18. Elitist, aloof, S&B, ghoulish
Or IWR, Patrioct ACT and NCLB. Pretty much a broken record at this point. Don't see what they could possibly bring that we haven't already endured.

Kerry, the proven Democrat. A Democrat's Democrat. Who peacefully negotiated open relations with Vietnam. Who has put in so many programs to protect the air, oceans, riverways. Who has protected our civil rights time and time again. Who has fought against subsidies and corporate welfare of every kind. He's a tried and true Democrat. Lots of people are nosying around looking for greener grasses, I guess Democrats are like that. In the end, they'll come on home to their old friend, John Kerry.
