Help! Need a good closing paragraph to my LTTE

Here in the home of the Clear Channel Stalin billboards, I'm putting together a LTTE to the Orlando Sentinel. Limit is 250 words (I'm currently well under), and I need a good final paragraph.


Wither America

Clear Channel Communications recently placed a billboard along I-4 with an image of George Bush and the phrase "Our Leader." I only have one question for the executives at Clear Channel - exactly what country do they think they live in? This is the sort of thing that would make Joseph Stalin and Saddam Hussein proud. It was these very leaders that would have their image posted throughout their countries in a similar manner. Kim Jong Il, the president of North Korea, is referred to as "Dear Leader."

The United States of America is larger than any single man. We are represented, for good or bad, by the President. We are NOT, however, subservient to him; he is our employee, and he works for us. The idea of presenting any person in the manner that Clear Channel has should be anathema to every person who understands the true meaning and ideals of America.

You could hardly say anything stronger than the third sentence of the second paragraph. I would leave it as is.

When George Washington became our first President, he was asked how he preferred to be addressed? Would it be "Your Excellency"? Would it be "Your Highness"? No, he said, "I think it must be Mr President." Washington knew instinctively the nature of American Democracy. We are a nation of laws, not men. Diefication of President Bush as "Our Leader", cheapens our democracy.
