On one special occasion during the past year, Novak made an exception and broke his radio silence on the Plame case. In March, at the ultimate Washington insider event - the annual Gridiron Club dinner - Novak starred in a skit about the Plame leak. Dressed in a top hat and cut-away coat, the columnist hammed it up in front of an audience of his peers, crooning to the tune of "Once I Had a Secret Love." Novak sang off-key about outing "a girl spy" thanks to "a secret source who lived within the great White House." And he finished it off with a killer closing line, delivered with a wink and a grin: "Cross the right wing you may try / Bob Novak's coming after you." The audience howled.

The Reich Wing can spout all the misinformation, lies, whatever you want to call it and no one is willing to call them on it.

Its high time someone in the MSM grew a set and took people like Nofacts, et al on. But it ain't gonna happen because the MSM are all nothing but a bunch of corporate whores.

I honestly don't know what it will take for the "Murican" people to wake up and realize what's happening in their own country. Is it going to take another horrendous terror attack, will it be when the dollar tanks and the economy crashes, ala 1929?

While I personally think that this past election was stolen in Ohio, there is no way the corporate media will ever let the story out. The Repukes learned their lesson well during Watergate. IMHO the corporate media is now operating on the principle of "Don't ask, don't tell".

Wow, that woman can write! And she did a good job on such a despicable subject.

The capitol gang is the one show I watch on CNN (I like Shields, Hunt, and Carlson....Margaret, that is), and I'd wondered why Novak got away with such BS. Now I know, he owns the show.

I think, as others have said here, this article encapsulates what's wrong with the MSM... "The club"....they think it's OK to put up with Novak's BS, but they don't really understand how it looks to the rest of the world...to those of us who fail to see Novak's "nice" side.

It's horrid, really, that the reporters in DC have become nothing more than the country club. Setting their own standards and giving power to certain people because they "like" them. No standard of honesty, integrity, or truth seems to apply.
