It's inspirational, it's soul-stirring, Afghanistan has "left a hard and dark past behind" and yet they continue to "enjoying a dignified place" as the HEROIN CAPITAL OF THE WORLD. Who says you can't have your frigging cake and eat it too? More hollow, empty bullshit from a guy who is basically Bush with a beard. More "bang your head against the wall and it still won't make sense" CRAP. Another opportunity for Hannity and Limbaugh to wet themselves over the GREAT JOB our president has done, and what a MAJOR VICTORY this is for WORLD PEACE.

My ASS. Did Karen Hughes write this speech?

:grr:

"We have now left a hard and dark past behind us and today we are opening a new chapter in our history," Karzai said in his inauguration speech.

http://www.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/asiapcf/12/07/afghanistan.inauguration/index.html

"On this day of a new, peaceful, prosperous era for our country, I would like to wish for the best for Afghanistan."

The new president talked about "duty" as he laid out the challenges facing the nation and his goals for it.

"We have a duty before our people to deliver, to the best of our ability, an Afghanistan that is free, stable, prosperous and enjoying a dignified place in the region and the world," Karzai said.
