Thank you Iowa. Everything is looking up for our Party. |

For once, nice guys are doing well and making a difference. The Edwards-Kucinich alliance resulted in a win for both candidates. To those who don't realize, there was a 15% minimum percentage of supporters required at each caucus for supporters of any candidate to get a say. Edwards and Kucinich each told their supporters to go with the supporters of the other where they did not have the minimum required number. This was a win for both of them as all their supporters in Iowa had a say. Dennis could have been in fourth place statewide and received 14% of the vote but this would not register if his support was evenly split between the precincts.
I was also glad to see Kerry do well. Kerry, Edwards and Kucinich have been running positive campaigns focusing on the issues and it was good to see that positive campaigns won out over lies and anger.
Congratulations to Kerry and Edwards.

things are looking up for the party . More business as usual. More campaigns funded by big corporate and individual doners.
I can't tell you how thrilled I am.

we've now got a "frontrunner" that's so popular with the grassroots folks that he had to mortgage his house to stay in the race...while the "little people's candidate", representing the "Democratic wing of the Democratic Party", who has shown that he can motivate the grassroots and get them to pony up, is being excoriated.
Why don't I feel like celebrating?
Looking for the silver lining, at least it'll be Kerry instead of Dean who will be drawing the "front-runner" flak now. I know at least one Dean financial supporter who isn't sending Kerry a single fucking dime, and I think it'll be a pretty serious trend.
Seriously, folks....does ANYBODY think Kerry's the BEST that our party can put forth? And if he is, what does that say about us?
